Swiss Dairy Bliss

We had fun staying here! We wanted to see some Swiss dairy farms and this B&B in this small town was perfect. The view from the balcony was peaceful and quiet. We were able to go see the neighboring dairy farm which was a fun morning walk. The property was well cared for and the room very clean. Carmen is a terrific host who takes a lot of pride in providing local products for the amazing breakfast. She shared info about the area and the building (including the interesting oven in the breakfast room). We enjoyed breakfast and the coffee both mornings. We stayed two night, but wished we had stayed another night. We would stay here again!

ES DREAMLI ......

Beautiful family business. It was just everything perfect and you can see that there is a lot of passion in this business. Everything is very clean and our room had a large balcony where you could watch the sunrise. Many excursion destinations can be reached in about 30 minutes by Appenzellerbahn or by car. Excellent.

Excellent. Quality facilities, attention to detail, attention and friendliness of the host couple... Plus the absolutely quiet location, the parking... I can't think of anything to improve. Not to forget: the intended egg shell breaking point cause! Brilliant invention!

Peace, quiet, and comfort!

Loved our stay at Baren Das Gaestehaus! Vreni and her husband were just delightful. They both went out of their way to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable and we just loved that the guest house was close enough to many great sites but in a nice quiet location. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Lovely Guesthouse in Gais

Everything about this guesthouse was perfect for us. We had excellent communication beforehand with the owners, who are very good at promoting their region. We loved the location in a small town, about a fifteen minute easy walk from the train station. The owner picked us up at the train station when we arrived. After that, we walked to and from the little town and the train station, enjoying the views. We loved hearing cowbells in the distance, even awakening one night to hear cows being moved in the middle of the night. Rather than being a distraction, we found it charming. Although it rained off and on while we were there, we found it very easy to walk to the train station, hop on a train going in either direction and get off in another interesting little town. Our room was spotless and conveniently appointed, and breakfast was abundant and healthy. Fortunately for us, the owners spoke English. We very much enjoyed being in this quiet area of Switzerland.
