Excellent!

We slept at the hotel and had dinner in the garden (gorgeous). The dinner was very good, the products local and the portions adequate. We highly recommend it!

Cosy restaurant with fine food

During our annual autumn holidays in Bignasco, dinner at Turisti is part of the menu. Cosy, small restaurant with a larger choice of food than the last visit. Very good wild card, especially the vegi game plate is highly recommended (excellent spaetzli).

Excellent polenta and family stew

today we had lunch at the "Locanda Turisti" with Allessandro who cooked us an exquisite beef stew with polenta cooked on the fireplace.
the meat of excellent choice, very tender, the polenta exceptional.

Small room in central potion

My single room was small and compact. The bed was a bit creaky but quite comfortable, there were no drawers or wardrobe to store clothing, just coat hangers on one of the walls. There was a small stool, but no table or desk. The room was clean with quite nice decor and a small Television. The ensuite was very nice and had a great view to the mountains. The owner spoke good English and was very obliging and helpful. The situation was central to this small village and very close to the bus stop. The restaurant on the ground floor was reasonably good.

Mixed feelings: hotel 4 points / experience 2 points

We were traveling with a sleeping van. Because we catched a cold we decided around 9.30 PM to sleep a night in a hotel.
My partner called in the Locanda Turisti and was told that the hotel was fully booked. At the same time I read on booking.com that two double rooms were free. We were really tired and so we just tried to book online - and this (surprisingly or not) worked.
When we arrived in the hotel we waited 25 minutes until the room was cleaned. For the waiting time we ordered a drink and it would have been nice if the hotel had offered one to us for the waiting time but it was charged.
The room was nice and quiet. The breakfast was okay. The receptionist was quite friendly. We liked the hotel on one side but are not really sure what to think about.
