Beautiful
Returning from my Asia-trip I wanted to threat me well for 2 days.
So i got to the Locanda and i found a Paradise of quietness, good healthy food, wonderful views.
And morover a very friendly and helpfull staff.
I could I would stay on for weeks...

Eco but how many defects
Driven by the philosophy espoused by this hotel we booked a double room.
In themselves, the structure and the rooms are beautiful: wood reigns supreme and makes everything very characteristic. The relaxation area with swimming pool and beach towels available is also good. Very friendly, nice and helpful staff. The restaurant was good (I wrote a review on the page in question) and the healthy breakfast with fruit, bread and jams was also ok (I attach photos).
The advantages, however, are unfortunately eclipsed by the defects, mainly linked to the rooms.
You can't ignore the lack of Wi-Fi in the room and the TV (it makes sense, it helps you get away from everyday life), you need to take a fairly steep staircase to get to the property (it was written in every review, so we were aware of it), but you can't overlook some shortcomings that a hotel of this type (and with these prices) cannot afford. Among all the absence of mosquito nets or something that prevents insects from entering (there is no air conditioning, so either you die of heat or the room fills with insects), the unpleasant presence of numerous spiders in the bathroom (those with long legs, probably there for weeks), the total absence of the declared panoramic view of the lake if you are not on the highest floor (I attach photos of the view from my balcony, largely blocked by plants), the absence of a hairdryer, the absence of a fridge (although they kindly kept ice in their freezer), the towels with a clear hint of humidity. Then other little things, which can be overlooked for us but potentially annoying for others.
Unfortunately, the numerous defects did not allow me to appreciate the ecological choices of this structure, which were overshadowed and consequently almost not even perceived. Too bad, a half-wasted opportunity to teach other structures.

Beautiful spot
Spent a long week-end here with my wife, visiting some family in the area.
Very nice spot, with a fantastic view on the Lugano region (lake, mountains).
Apparently there are very nice walks to ddo around the lodge.
Maybe a bit expensive, but very nice people.

ecobio ?
Spent one night here. As we arrived happy to see there would be music! So we get to the restaurant, have a quite good meal (rack of lamb is just two chops...) and enjoy the music, very lively atmosphere ! Around 11.30pm decide to go to bed and... impossible to sleep until 3 am. Having music is nice but I didn't expect a discoclub ! And when we complained next morning the only answer we get is "oh too bad... ", no apology, no offer to cut the bill, nothing. The worst was entering the breakfast room next morning and smelling stale tobacco. (smoking is prohibited in public places in Switzerland..) As for breakfast, I'm not sure that ready cut cheese and ham were "bio"..
The place is ecologically built, but I am sure there is possibility to isolate walls ecologically no ? We heard every sound and conversation from both next door rooms. Zero intimacy...
So we were disappointed and will definitely not return. Sorry

Il cliente ha riservato per 2 notti. La prima notte c'era la festa di riapertura della LOcanda ed effettivamente la musica poteva disturbare gli ospiti. La locanda era tutta occupata. Abbiamo ricevuto la reclamazione solo da questo ospite, ci siamo scusati e visto che non volevano più restare la seconda notte non abbiamo chiesto l'importo per la seconda notte come da regolamento. La camera infatti la seconda notte é rimasta invenduta.
I clienti hanno fumato come sempre sulla terrazza e non nel ristorante.
Riteniamo di esserci comunque comportati bene bonificando la seconda notte
Per quanto riguarda il ristorante. I clienti avevano una buono per una cena Gourmet di 4 portate per cui i piatti sono stati serviti adeguatamente e non abbiamo ricevuto reclamazioni dal cliente-

a touch of the Orient in Switzerland
This is a delightful 2 star hotel with a glorious view over the lake of Lugano, and the advantage, in winter, of full sunshine all day - unusual in Switzerland for mountains not to get in the way! The hotel is built according to ecological principals - mainly out of wood. The simple rooms face south, and all have a view. There is a small swimming pool in which to cool off in the summer. The restaurant has a wonderful fire place burning logs, which makes it very cosy in the winter. The food is well prepared, and they are very happy to serve groups of up to 25 for lunch.
