Quirky with good food but beware if you are tall!

This is a quirky hotel in an old building that features huge beams. Sadly we are both tall and the beams in our room meant lots of stooping and head banging. I couldn’t get in and out of bed without being grateful that I do yoga. The bathroom was a partial glass screen across one end of the room, which had its downsides for toilet etiquette. The shower was good and the bed comfortable. There was a little lounge opposite our room with tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar. The view from our room was of other houses but we could see the Alps in the distance. The huge plus point of the hotel for us was the food which was exceptional. After eating there on the first night we decided we couldn’t do better and ate there our second night, too. The weather was good so we ate in the very pleasant garden.
Parking was easy and fine.
The hotel is near the pier where the boat for the lake stops but that’s on a tributary so no lake views.

A perfect experience from start to finish!

We arrived in the establishment late in the afternoon, almost at closing time and yet we were greeted with incredible kindness and sympathy. The boss served us like kings, with a smile, without ever putting any pressure on us.
He even took the time to chat with us at the table, sharing his good mood and passion for local produce, which was excellent.
Welcoming like we rarely see: warm, commercial and deeply human. We kept the business card and will be back with great pleasure. Thank you very much for this moment!

Nice Service, very good wines served and from the region.
Neat and gourmet dishes. It is made with taste and flavor. We feasted and can only recommend.
The portions are generous, which is not to displease us.
We'll be back!

Recommended without any hesitation

Lovely welcome, lovely staff and very nice place. Very nice park for meals, moreover, succulent. The rooms are spacious, well renovated and tastefully decorated. Moreover, the place is very quiet, on the edge of Broye.

Beautiful restaurant with exceptionally nice garden restaurant

We had a wonderful evening in the really uniquely beautiful and romantic garden. The service was first class and the food and wine very good. The restaurant we can really recommend without reservation! Also inside the restaurant and dining room are beautiful. A really nice, old but well maintained inn. We slept well, too. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms nicely renovated and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was also perfect. Not too much, but everything it needs and of high quality. The only negative point: Carpeted floors in the rooms. Value for money is also right. We would definitely come back! Many thanks to the whole team for the warm hospitality.
