Good choice overall

Good hotel, well located near the station and all transport into town, to the airport and beyond. Modern rooms, good beds but pillows were not comfortable. Good shower but nowhere to hang face towels. The male staff in the bar were rude and had a simply awful attitude, except for the one day that there was a young oriental lady who provided excellent service. Good breakfast selection, but very slow in serving 'made to order' eggs. It was hard to find a table when busy. Strange menu at dinner, but there were other restaurants nearby to go to.

Good hotel with air conditioning during the summer. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel, conveniently located with good air conditioning during the heat wave. One of our daughters stayed there for three nights and went to Art Basel. Our other daughter met us there when our Rhine cruise docked in Basel and the three of us stayed there for one night. Nice large rooms with extra seating. Reasonable for Basel. Highly recommend.

Pleasant surprise.

It is very close to the Basel train station.
Not far from the shopping area and the historic center.
The overall impression we took away was very good.
It is a four-star hotel but could easily be a five-star.
Very friendly staff and the breakfast is varied and of high quality.
For a little more, the junior suite with a spacious bathroom and spectacular views.

I stay in the suite on the 14th floor. The front desk staff is very friendly, and also give us a flexibility for early check-in. The room is fantastic, not just a great view but also the design and services in the room are all excellent. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in Europe. All the best!

Beautiful hotel and lovely room. Generally the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was with the wakeup call and taxi booking we scheduled for the following morning - the staff completely forgot to call us, saying they had a different time. We were able to show the front desk the hand written note from their staff the previous night confirming the time we had requested. Fortunately we work up ourselves so made it in time for our flight. Mistakes can happen, that I understand, and it all worked out, but what was disappointing is that at no point did the person on the front desk apologize for the oversight on their part, instead was more adamant that the mistake was not on their end, despite being able to produce the hand written note from his own colleagues.
