Good price/quality ratio

First of all, you must consider the price/quality ratio.
I paid just 79chf for a night for one room with bathroom. In Switzerland I would consider it a steal.
The hotel didn't have any reception people, I had to take the key in another hotel which was maybe 500m away. That's not a problem (but should be mentioned in after booking email).
The hotel itself is quite big, clean, but you can see that it's not new. Especially the wooden rails in balconies - very old. In In the balcony you can find a table with one chair (in the double room) - not very thoughtful.
TV set worked great. Bed was comfortable. Shower was clean and hot. No problem.
Hotel itself is 10min walk from city center (all shops and restaurants are there).
I think this hotel is great for a short stay (one night) :)
Oh, as well, it had an amazing view to the mountains - so that's 10 points ;)

Catastrophic

I’ve been to many hotels, including abroad – but I’ve never experienced such a dirty, loveless getaway. This house has nothing to do with a hotel, it is more like a poorly run youth hostel.
The room was dirty, unkempt and offered virtually no comfort. There is no question of cleaning. The whole thing is justified by the argument “climate” – supposedly cleaning only every seven days. This is not environmental protection, but pure cost saving at the expense of guests. And even what was supposed to be cleansed wasn't.
Not recommended. Not a second time.

Simple Hotel

We booked a family room (4 beds) the evening before. Taking note of the reviews we did not expect too much but we found the place quite okey. We had a room on the lower floor (beneath the breakfast) and the room was expedient. The room was clean. For one night with kids it was okey. We would not go there for a regular vacation. Breakfast hat all you need to get a good start in the day. We found the price for the family room and breakfast fair.

Avoid!

We used to go there once a year before the change of ownership and what a disappointment!
Rooms were extremely dirty, shower bath was leaking and breakfast was minimal and of poor quality (pre-cooked bread and I even had to ask to have a tea bag).
That said, the beds were comfortable and the hotel is 2 minutes’ walk from the bus stop (15mn to the city centre) and has a great playing area downstairs.
The new owners are neither much available nor friendly.
I won’t go there again.

Perfectly adequate for the cost conscious traveler

While nothing to write home about, this budget hotel on the outskirts of town seemed, on the strength of my very short stay, to be just about adequate in all respects. While I would have little desire to stay here for any length of time, especially if adverse weather conditions led to confinement in the hotel, it is functional and competitively priced. Breakfast, served in a refectory like environment, is a perfunctory affair, but hits the spot. The patron was helpful and friendly and a good ambassador for the hotel. If luxury is your criteria, then look elsewhere, but for a no-frills budget stay, this could be the place for you.
