Delightful hotel in a wonderful leafy neighbourhood

As I wrote on the booking website, "With so many hotels to choose from Scandic Park was perfect for our six night stay, we loved the location in a beautiful leafy neighbourhood, handy to the metro, opposite a park, easy walking distance into the centre; about 15 minutes. Our room on the side of the building and was quiet at night even with the door ajar slightly for some cool air in May. The bed and pillows were comfortable, block out curtains did their job, clean bathroom, plenty of wardrobe hanging space. Our favourite time of day was breakfast in the atmospheric dining room and all the delicious food. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Room cleaning needs to be booked in-advance via reception or QR code. We loved this hotel."
We only used the metro on the day of our arrival after that we walked everywhere from the hotel, no other modes of transport: 30 minutes to Gamla Stan, 25 minutes to VASA Museum, 15 minutes to Swedish History Museum, 25 minutes to Central Station via the Brunkeberg Tunnel (I recommend locating).

A Wonderful Stay & Amazing Coffee

Wonderful hotel. Very hospitable, friendly staff. Clean, spacious, bright and comfortable rooms. Best hotel breakfast I’ve had and I’ve stayed in hotels in many countries. One thing that really stood out was the COFFEE-delicious! Good location to get around and yet in a peaceful park setting. It’s not a cheap hotel but I do believe you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this hotel.

Okay.

Overall we had a nice stay, but unfortunately the cleaning pulled down the overall impression. When we got to the room we discovered that it was not properly cleaned – there were very old hairs left from a previous guest, which felt very unfresh.
When we pointed this out to the staff we were nicely treated and received breakfast vouchers as compensation, which was appreciated.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good with a nice selection. Despite the boring start, the rest of the stay was positive, but we hope the hotel improves its cleaning routine.

Excellent location and people!

I have stayed at Scandic Park many times over the past year. It has always been a joy. The location is wonderful, the rooms and restaurant is perfect. And the team, always so friendly, polite and welcoming.They always remember me and do their best to make my stay comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and their team:)

I didn't buy the breakfast, but ive had several interactions with the staff there. They are all very friendly and helpful. Observant too. I loved the bathroom, it was so clean and the tiles were so nice. The area is super nice with all the scenery and its close to different bus stations and metro. Definitely would return there!
