Great view and nice hotel!

Stayed at this hotel for two days. Got a premium room on the top floor 13. The room was large and had large floor to ceiling windows with a great view. Large bathroom with bathtub. Bathrobe and slippers included. Very comfortable bed, good pillows. There were two different sizes. There was a small fridge in the room.
The gym was quite ok with a great view for those who run cardio.
Breakfast was quite ok. There were a few different kinds of bread. Plus points for having cream cheese for me who doesn't like butter. Delicious homemade own granola. I like pancakes but there was no porridge, but overnight there was. There is a Willys nearby and it was close to walk into Storgatan in the center.

Nice modern hotel with wellness area

The hotel is not the prettiest building from the outside but the inside more than makes up for it. Our room was clean, modern and spacious and we booked the room specifically for the aircon which worked well and provided cool air for a good night’s sleep after a hot summer day. We also enjoyed the wellness area on the 10th floor. Breakfast wasn’t fantastic but ok.
Our only complaint is that we went down to the restaurant around 9:15 (kitchen closes at 10) and were met by a sign telling guests to wait to be seated. We were the only ones in line and waited around 5 minutes with at least 4 waiters walking past us without the slightest recognition of our presence – so we left and went to Coop and bought a premade salad instead.
Halmstad Plaza is a great hotel for sleeping and using the wellness area but don’t bother wasting your time in the restaurant.

Recommended

This hotel is great. We have nothing to expose at the hotel. We booked Superior room on the 12th floor and a double room on the 6th floor. Both rooms were great.
Parking in large public and affordable parking lot 70 meters from the hotel. Very reasonable. Alternatively, you can park in the parking garage underneath the hotel. This is more expensive.
Very nice staff and service.

Visit during Laxacup

We had a very nice stay at Halmstad Plaza. The rooms were nice and clean, and the view from both the gym and spa was great. Great location! An extra big thank you to Amera at the reception who went the extra mile and helped us get back things we forgot in the room. The service was really appreciated. We would love to come back!

Lovely rooms - poor location

The hotel is, although it is greatly lovely quiet. There are all the facilities you can wish for including gym and spa department. There are several restaurants and bars in the hotel. We had a premium room which was lovelyly large and had the facilities as one expected. There were really good beds and there was really peaceful and quiet all over the hotel. The breakfast was not at the level of the rest of the hotel, but there was a reasonable selection in a reasonable quality. The hotel is a walk from the city centre and is located in an inspirational area. Since the price is in the high end I end up with a middle grade.
