Over-priced, dirty room with a young, quite arrogant staff - not worth it
For example, I expect the room to be cleaned properly upon arrival and not to find that the trash bin on the balcony so full of empty beer cans, empty glass jars of tapenade and plastic cups that the lid couldn't be shut. I expect not to find cheese doodles and wine gums left on the balcony floor. This made us not want to sit on the balcony at all, smelling the stale beer cans.
There was a small, dark brown soft clut of something in the shower that I discovered while showering, and I prayed to the hygine god that it was a left-over olive (!) and nothing else.
The furniture was torn and ripped, and the side-shelf by the bed, that was supposed to function as a side-board, had slanting shelves so it was impossible to put anything on it.
There was a big shared "living room" area in the corridor and there was a table with a kettle, instant coffee and a bottle of water for the guests to help themselves. And some plates, glasses and forks and knives. A very nice touch - if the beverage area had been cleaned - or at least replenished. There were dirty dishes that wasn't removed during our stay, and the bottle of water didn't seem to have been re-filled for a while since less than half-full when we arrived and the same when we left.
The staff was very young and tended both the hotel guests and the restaurant guests, which may not have been the best idea. While being a waiter/waitress at what seemed to be the "cool and hip" place in Grebbestad does not necessarily mean that you need to play it "cool" while greeting hotel guests. And talking about guests in front of other guests does not give a very solid impresison, and it certainly does not make the other guests feel comfortable. Their attitude was quite arrogant.
In addition, when we came down for breakfast, we told the breakfast hostess our room number. Some minutes later, she came by our table and asked if we had any papers or any other documents that could verify that we were paying hotel guests.... First time that ever happened. Very strange. Especially since they only have 9 rooms at the hotel...
There were some highlights, though: the breakfast was small, but of high quality. Loved the small, locally produced cucumbers. There were robes and slippers in the hotel room, and the portable fan was silent. And the room was quite silent as well, did not hear the other guests.
Oh - and there is no long-term parking. The nearest is about 500 meters away.
Needless to say, we won't return - and I cannot recommend it either, not for that price. Had we paid 1400 SEK, I would have been a happy cat (except for the dirty features), but 2 195 SEK is way too much.
