Perfect Stay Before Our Early Flight
Great value for money. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional throughout our stay. They arranged a smooth airport shuttle service early in the morning exactly as we requested, which made our journey to the airport stress free.
The food was excellent and very tasty, with a good variety to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a short stay before our early flight. We also enjoyed the beachfront setting which gave us a relaxing evening before our trip.
Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a comfortable and convenient stop before or after their flight. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip.

The stay was pure horror during our actual dream vacation!
Our stay at the Pledge Scape Negombo (Premier Double Room with Sea View) in this supposed 5-star hotel was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had via Booking.com & in Sri Lanka. The room was in a shockingly dirty and unsanitary condition. The bed linen was heavily soiled and full of stains. After asking several times, we had to wait about 30 minutes for housekeeping despite calling. At that point, it was already midnight. After the bed was stripped, a mattress protector appeared, covered in yellowish stains – an absolutely disgusting sight that one would never expect in a hotel of this price range. Even after changing the bed linen, it was still just as stained and looked completely washed out – simply unsanitary and really unacceptable. One should not expect something like this in any hotel, especially not in this price segment. Also in the bathroom, the shower surround was infested with black mold. Furthermore, food scraps were still stuck to the table and the seating, as if they had not been cleaned at all beforehand. Housekeeping only removed the dirt after we complained and then washed the used rag in our sink – leaving visible yellow dirt residue behind again. Unbelievable. Added to this were unfriendly service, empty promises, and no interest in finding solutions. We were promised a conversation with the hotel manager as well as a room change for the second night, but none of that was honored. The minibar was also empty, and instead of drinking water, only reusable bottles filled with tap water (Sri Lanka) were provided. For a hotel that presents itself as a 5-star establishment and charges 95 euros per night, this is an absolute outrage. Furthermore, we noticed on the first day after check-in that there were not even small towels available in the room for drying our hands. Despite asking at the reception three times in total, these were not provided to us during our entire stay, which once again underscores the absolutely inadequate service of this alleged 5-star hotel. The general hygienic and cleaning condition of the room was catastrophic: The floor was heavily soiled, and both the balcony glass with the ocean view and the bathroom glass were extremely dirty. We cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances due to the lack of cleanliness, the poor service, and the misleading presentation. Such an unhygienic and disappointing stay is simply scandalous.
Aside from the massive cleanliness issues, we really liked the general style of the hotel as well as the room's interior design. In addition, the included airport transfer was excellently organized and went smoothly.
We reported our issue to Booking's customer service immediately, but to this day—now two days later—we have not received any feedback. However, if the hotel or Booking does not accommodate us, we are prepared to examine and initiate further legal steps.

Mixed opinion
The hotel building and its surroundings do not necessarily make you want to. Although the view of the beach is beautiful, it is dirty and many cars park right in front of the pool. The staff was not very attentive and missing hand towels in the room. The big towels were damaged. There were big stains on the curtains. The restaurant is pretty good and remains the positive of this hotel. (A la carte meals in the evening and breakfast buffet)

Perfect place to unwind after the flight
A really nice on the beach hotel.
The room was great, ocean views good a/c clean and comfortable.
Prasad at reception was fantastic and very very helpful.
Restaurant was very good and we would book in here if in the area.

Amazing hotel
Amazing hotel with incredible staff! The food was unbelievable. Thank you so much for looking after us so well :) We came all the way from Australia and was so impressed with the hotel on the beach and rooms so clean. Thank you
