End of life hotel

As part of our tour of Sri Lanka, organized by Sakuni via Evaneos, we stayed in this very old and dilapidated Hotel. The pool was very dirty and therefore unusable, and not a single deckchair, so we went to the public beach with our towels
As we were the only guests of the hotel, no buffet but a meal served at the table. Even if we could not choose, the food was rather good and the service friendly.

This place makes Fawlty Towers look like a five star operation! Rooms old and mouldy , food terrible, service terrible

Awful

What a horrible hotel, the staff are rude and haven't got a clue about customer service. The worst restaurant I have been to in the world, and believe me I have been to a few. Don't bother as no one speaks a word of English which is fine but I asked for a bottle of white wine and the waiter serving us didn't know what white wine was.

I used it for transit. The building is quite old. I had to bear it since it was just for transfer.

I stayed here for one night, which was provided free of charge as a transit flight with SriLankan Airlines.
The building is old, and the shower and sink faucets are almost broken. The bed mattress is soft and it feels like you're sleeping on a sponge. The sheets have stains that don't come off even after washing, and it doesn't feel clean. There is no TV or refrigerator. The cupboard doors are broken and don't close properly. The windows in the bathtub have rusty frames and are not clean.
For meals, you go to the restaurant at the right time and order what you like from the menu. The food itself wasn't bad.
It's about a 30-minute bus ride from the airport. There is a beach nearby. When I got to the beach, an old man who spoke a little Japanese called out to me. After talking for a bit, he asked me to buy him some handmade souvenirs. I bought a few, knowing that they were expensive. I guess they consider it an airport transit hotel.
On the way there, I stayed at another Full Moon Hotel as a transit flight, but this one was several levels better.

Disgusting

Wow. This place is terrible... and I mean terrible. As with the previous reviewer, I was sentenced to 12+ hours here after I was bumped off an overbooked flight. It is an absolute disgrace that shows the airline to be the national embarrassment it is. This hotel is FILTHY. The lobby area stinks and there is grime everywhere. The pillow cases haven't even been laundered for gods sake. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.
