Gorgeous home stay

We absolutely loved staying at High View the hosts couldn’t have been nicer and the breakfast was amazing. The views are incredible and it’s easily accessible by transport. We loved it here and would recommend to anyone staying in Kandy!

A Peaceful and Comfortable Stay at High View Homestay

I highly recommend High View Homestay! This guest house is run by a friendly and helpful husband and wife. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The whole place feels cozy and welcoming.
They offer a free breakfast, which is very tasty. You can have a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, or if you like, you can ask for an English breakfast.
While you stay, you can enjoy a beautiful mountain view with lovely fog. The guesthouse is calm and quiet, making it a great place to relax. I will definitely come back next time!

An oasis in the mountains round Kandy

A little more expensive but worth every rupee.
The room is clean and airy and has wonderful views of tropical forested hills towards Kandy.
Breakfast is sublime with fruit, different kinds of bread, curry and if you want to taste more Sri Lankan curies, the hostess cooks dinner to order.
Walking towards the temple makes you walk in a high crisp and clean air, once up there I was invited to lunch by the kind monks, unfortunately I was already full…
The hosts are very friendly and helpful in showing the ways.
Nice as a retreat from Kandy town which is quite crowded and busy.
I recommend.

Very good location

Location 4.8/5 ,food 3.9/5. ,view 4.2/5 hospitality 4.9/5 Staff behaviour:polite, accommodation : very good , Food was good , View from our room devine. Location was good by Uber , food was delicious by chutnieys (Uber eat)

Lovely place

We stayed here for 2 nights in the AC room. Big tidy room, nice bathroom. Big balcony with an astonishing view. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets to be seen. We had a lovely Sri Lankan home cooked meal. Breakfast was tasty.
The place is run by a lovely couple and their teenage son who helps out. They are very polite and go out of your way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They arranged a skillful and reliable tuktuk driver for us.
Tip: call ahead for directions. Google maps will send you via a bad and very steep road. They are going to try to have this changed by contacting Google.
