The drive up the hills is worth it

The resort’s location and the balcony view were amazing. The staff, including Manager Melanie, provided great service. We were served a delicious vegetarian dinner and breakfast in ample portions.
The rooms were tidy and well kept. The balcony was spacious, though the room could have been a bit larger to fit our luggage.
They also offer adventure activities such as trekking and jeep rides, which we unfortunately didn’t get to try.
The greenery around the property makes the stay feel very pleasant. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay away from the bustle and noise.

best private place ever

very nice cozy private place with a beautiful view in the midddle of the forest
Melanie, Nandana, Mihiranga and Chef George are friendly nice attentive staff
Also Shiney (doggo) is a beatuful part of the lodge

Pleasant Stay! Recommended!

I had a lovely stay at Hanthana Eco Lodge—this place had been on my bucket list for a while since I really enjoy eco-lodge experiences. I was a bit unsure about taking three elderly family members along, but the team truly exceeded expectations.
Big thanks to Melanie, the manager, who went out of her way to customize the menu and make sure all our needs were taken care of. Nandana and Mihiranga were super helpful and made us feel right at home, and Chef George treated us to some absolutely delicious meals.
I’d definitely recommend Hanthana Eco Lodge for a relaxing family trip, a catch-up with friends, or even an adventurous hiking getaway. Wishing the team all the best—hope to visit again soon!

Family holiday

We were a family of 7 adults and 4 children under 10, a little unsure at first about spending 5 days at an eco lodge, as the kids are more used to villas and hotels. From the start, Melanie made everything easy — she was incredibly helpful throughout the booking process, sharing menus, photos, and details of things to see and do around the lodge.
Once we arrived, all our doubts disappeared. We spent 5 wonderful days here and even celebrated our mum’s birthday during the stay. The kids absolutely loved the outdoor activities, short walks, and the open spaces to play. The weather was beautiful, the staff were warm and attentive, and the food was truly outstanding. We mostly enjoyed delicious local dishes, but the team even prepared BBQ chicken especially for the kids — every meal was fresh and full of flavour.
The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect holiday, and their kindness made our stay so memorable. As both a traveller and a travel agent, I wholeheartedly recommend Hanthana Eco Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful, genuine, and truly Sri Lankan experience

Absolutely stunning

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hanthana Eco Lodge. The lodge is beautifully nestled in nature, offering both peace and comfort. A special thank you to Mr. Nandana, whose remarkable attention to detail made our experience truly exceptional. From the immaculate rooms to the thoughtful touches throughout the property, his dedication was evident in every aspect. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in a serene and well-cared-for environment. We’ll definitely be back!
