Wonderful experience, the food safari and tents were exceptional.

A wonderful experience. The camp is down a dirt road and in the middle of nowhere, so you are in the jungle, with noises all around you. We were a party of 8 and a little nervous when we arrived. The tents are concrete base with a tent too hard. The bed linen and beds were really comfy and clean and fresh, the shower is cold in the morning and warmer in the evening which was expected. Our host Lensi, immediately made us feel comfortable, he welcomed us with a drink and explained everything to us. We were given a wonderful lunch and then we went on a bush walk which was really interesting. The then watched the sunset up on a great rock by the camp site, Lensi bought drinks and cake and hot spring rolls. It was magical. We had requested a bbq and campfire, which was lovely. Paraffin lamps were hung all around which kept the midges away, there was so much lovely food. The following morning we were up at 5 for. Full day safari, it was so interesting we saw so much. The birds especially were unexpected, 3 different types of eagle, kite, storks and so much more, we saw two leopard and elephant long with buffalo’s and mongoose. We stopped for breakfast which was lovely and then the park closes 12-2 so we went to the rest area for lunch. Which was served to us on fresh white plates with cutlery, we had rice chicken potatoes, ect. And fresh fruit. Very lovely. We got back to the camp site and had our evening meal which was also delicious. The quality of the food was exceptional which was unexpected. We slept really well and felt very safe. We would highly recommend. Lensi, his chef and team did an amazing job.

Unique place close to Yala

Very nice place close to Yala in the middle of nature.
Staff was super, very friendly, helpful and good food.
Also helped to book the safari. The guide on the safari trip was disappointing because of his limited English knowledge

Magical experience

Had an amazing time here with my husband and 2 teenagers. The staff are amazing, Lensi was our safari guide and Sampath was the chef along with Danoushka. I had read reviews that the food was better than hotels and found it hard to believe but it genuinely is amazing. Even my teenagers enjoyed all the food and they normally moan about something. The beds are comfy, we had a bbq lit with lanterns, tea and cake, (best cup of tea I had in 2 weeks) best dessert (crème caramel) (best curry and rotti) we had awesome picnics too. The safari was magical. Lensi and the driver were very experienced and we saw 2 leapards and lots of elephants, monkeys, deer, birds, crocodiles and lots of other species. We learnt a lot and were all very happy. Lensi was very funny and kept making jokes to entertain us. Wonderful experience and would highly recommend. Was sad when we left!

Nice glamping in nature with high level of service

We had a great stay at Yala Wild Hut.
We only stayed there for 24 hours with the aim of visiting the park on a safari, which they also helped arrange for us. The tent was delicious and spacious, for us of 4 people. The service was good and we had a lovely lunch, between snacks and dinner as well as breakfast.
The biggest recommendations from here.
