Best view in Galle and a warm welcome

A delightful, family-run hotel on one of Galle's prettiest streets. We were very well taken care of throughout our stay, even receiving a packed breakfast for our early morning train when leaving. We spent the best part of a day just sitting on the balcony looking out to sea and enjoying the local wildlife (peacocks and kingfishers). The property has been carefully restored to maintain it's historic atmosphere. It makes a great base for pottering around Galle and enjoying it's shops and restaurants.

Great location and worth for the money!!

I recently visited Dutch Wall Fort Resort and had a wonderful experience with my family! The facilities were top-notch and well-maintained. Staff were incredibly friendly , helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made our stay truly enjoyable.Highly recommended!!! Hope to visit again.

nice small family run place

Lovely small boutique hotel, family run place with all original colonial historic features. Our budget room was small but spotlessly clean with a near new bathroom. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the fort area making it easy to stroll around everywhere. Galle is not a cheap place so this hotel is priced very well given its location. Breakfast was traditional Sri Lankan food and plentiful. The owner family were lovely and liked to chat. Galle is a lovely colonial town that can be explored in an afternoon. We found one night here was perfect.

A Pearl in Galle

We stayed as a couple for one night in this beautiful place. We had booked through Airbnb and were upgraded to a larger, beautiful room for free. The room was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. There was even a terrace with cozy armchairs and views of the sea.
Our hosts were very friendly and also advised us on taxi and restaurants. Check-in and check-out was flexible.
We would particularly like to emphasize the wonderful breakfast, homemade and typical of the country! With everything your heart desires.
The location of the hotel is excellent! Nevertheless, it was very quiet and thanks to air conditioning and comfortable beds we had a very pleasant night!

Peaceful stay in Galle

Great place to stay within Galle Fort, ideally located within a 2 minute walk of all the main highlights. Travelled with 2 children aged 7 and 5. Very clean and functional. Generous breakfast served by very friendly and welcoming hosts. Definitely a good value if you are looking to stay a night or two in Galle.
