Memorable Reunion Made Seamless by Outstanding Service

We recently hosted our Christ King College (CKC) 2007 batch reunion at the Hilton Colombo on April 19, 2026, and it was truly a memorable experience after 19 years since leaving school.
From the very beginning, the coordination and support we received were outstanding. Even though we had to cancel our first discussion at short notice, the team was very understanding and encouraged us to reconnect at our convenience. During our meeting, we were given ample time to explore the Ruby Hall and discuss all aspects of the event, including menu customization, DJ setup, dancing flow, table arrangements, and decorations. The guidance we received was incredibly helpful in shaping our event.
What stood out the most was the professionalism and excellent time management throughout the process. We truly appreciated the willingness to stay with us during discussions to clarify every detail.
Ahead of the event, we planned to bring and set up our own backdrop, and this was smoothly coordinated with security and logistics even before we had to request assistance. On the event day, everything was well organised, with careful checks carried out from morning onwards to ensure everything ran perfectly.
A special mention goes to Mrs. Mavis Fernandez (Senior Manager – Conference & Events Sales), whose experience and dedication played a key role in making our event a success. Her support and attention to detail made a significant difference.
Overall, we are extremely satisfied and grateful for the excellent service, which helped us create a truly special and well organised reunion.

Safety breach

I am extremely disappointed with Hilton Colombo's safety and security standards.
My wife works there, and today, while she was getting ready in her room and wearing only a towel, another guest suddenly entered the room because of a mistake made by the hotel. My wife is a Muslim woman, and this incident was extremely shocking and humiliating for her.
After the incident, she immediately contacted the reception to report what had happened. However, the hotel staff simply apologised and said that it was a system error, treating the matter as if it were only a small mistake.
This is not a small issue. It is a serious breach of privacy and a major safety concern. No woman should have to experience a situation where an unknown man can enter her room because of the hotel's negligence.
Hilton Colombo must take responsibility for this incident and improve its security procedures to ensure that such a dangerous mistake never happens again.

Best Sri Lankan Hospitality Experience

From the moment we checked in we were greeted with the warmest of Sri Lankan hospitality! Omesh De Silva, the Duty Manager on call at the time of our check in really ensured we had everything we needed for an amazing stay. The amount of thoughtful consideration he put into every detail from our room arrangement to even having food sent to our room when we were too tired to make it to breakfast was truly second to none! Additionally, the front desk attendant, Aedan Jansz, helped set us up for success with a few adapters since some of our luggage did not arrive on time. The combined efforts of Mr. De Silva and Mr. Jansz, along with the warm welcome of all the other staff members really started our trip off in a wonderful way and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you!

Fantastic hotel! Rooms are beautiful and spacious with magnificent views. The quality of the dinner buffet is outstanding , and the views of the garden are beautiful.

Excellent Stay at Hilton Colombo

The location of Hilton Colombo is excellent, situated in the heart of the city, making it ideal for both business trips and staycations. It offers convenient access to major business districts, shopping areas, and local attractions.
I stayed at the hotel while attending the Dilmah School of Tea event, and the location was very convenient for my visit. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, suitable for both work and relaxation.
The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a pleasant stay throughout my visit.
Cleanliness: Excellent. The room and public areas were consistently clean and well-kept.
Service: Outstanding. The dining experience at Graze Kitchen was excellent, with delicious food and a highly attentive service team. A special mention goes to Mr. Lakmal, the Training Manager, who was exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. He provided personalized service and demonstrated excellent leadership and guidance for the younger team members, making the dining experience even more memorable.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Hilton Colombo to anyone visiting Colombo for business, leisure, or while attending events such as the Dilmah School of Tea program. I look forward to returning in the future.
