Nice property

Had a truly wonderful experience and stay at this hotel. Rooms are spacious and large. The location is quite central and convenient. The staff is very friendly and polite. Highly recommended for family and business travelers.

Could be better

I really did not expect much so I was not disappointed. But still as a guest I expect some basic standards.
The entrance is placed above ground level and is reachable by stairs. It is not accessible to persons with disabilities.
While climbing the stars the guest will spot an almost broken stair. It looks very ugly and frightening. It should be repared, not left as it is to frighten and reject people to come.
Although there is a mechanism for central heating, the room was heated by the air consitioner. It is useless on very low temperatures (below -7 C).
The room is clean, spatious and comfortable as well as the bed. It is well lighted.
The bathroom is below standards. There was nothing of amenities expected. Not even a hairdryer which is a basic for any kind of accommodation.
Breakfasts was strong, tasty and rich but not diverse. Vegans would not have any options.

Suits its main purporse

First of all, you have to be aware of other hotels in small towns in Serbia. Mostly, they are nightmares. In most cities you won't find a decent one. If you have that in mind, you will cherish Rose Hotel even more. It's clean, tidy, rooms are heated, you'll find basic necessities in the bathroom (hair dryer, shampoo), even an elementary mini bar. TV didn't work, and the look out of strangely small windows was truly ugly, but I doubt you'll be visiting Vranje for any other reason than business. The breakfast was bad, food greasy, choice limited, and coffee too light. The entrance looks suspicious, but staff is nice, although not too welcoming. Again, you really don't need more. And that's general remark: this hotel gives you exactly what you need for one or two nights' business stay. Just enough comfort and coziness for a nice sleep over.

Nice large rooms downtown Vranje

Forget the hostels, treat yourself to a luxury room, with wifi, large room, nice bathroom and it's right in the heart of town!
After a long day starting in Greece, it was dark and we were tired of driving. Miloje wanted a bargain but it was getting late and we were tired. The Rose was recommended to us and I'm glad we stayed! The staff is nice and since we were with a car, they kept there eyes on it all night. Good food for the evening was close by. We got a nice and peaceful sleep here.
The next day, we had a nice breakfast omelette which was included. Though we were in Serbia, it aw sno problem to pay the bill in Euros, another plus while staying there.
Be sure during your visit to take in the sites in the vicinity. There's much to discover nearby!
