A lovely return
The little pool was clean and kept clean by Peter and the pool guys. Loved the swimming in rainwater natural feel and a lot warmer than in January.
Please heat the pool for winter!
Breakfasts delicious and we had cherry and mango juice one day. There was a cherry tree right outside our villa but sadly the high winds had blown off most of the ripe cherries. Jen and others served us breakfast with a smile and great sense of humour.
We had a very well behaved cat who sat at the entrance to the villa every day.
Shower products natural and good. I only needed to use a little to wash my hair. One drawback was the shower never got that hot but in the heat of the day the lukewarm temperature was not an issue.
The air conditioning in the downstairs bedroom was very effective. Less so in the huge upstairs bedroom but I love the space up there.
Lots of saucepans, utensils provided for self catering and I loved the Ceylon tea provided.
Treetops restaurant was superb this time and Simeon and Kevin and the servers were all great. Kevin in particular has grown in confidence and was the life and soul of the place. One of my cocktails was far too strong but I recommend the whisky smoke one! The steel pan player on Saturday night was excellent.
Ambience in the restaurant was good with many visitors from Sugar Beach etc who loved the place.
I like the contrast between the lively restaurant and the peace and quiet of the villas.
Taxi service organised by Bradley using Johnavin and Aidan was v good. Aidan took us to the Mango Teeexrestsyrsbt and Johnavin to Faye’s near the airport. Both careful drivers which was appreciated and comfortable cars .
Next time I am in St Lucia I will be back.

The Perfect Home Base for an active family vacation in St. Lucia
Silver Palm has a large living room for relaxing, playing games and enjoying the spectacular sunset and view of the Pitons. There was also a transformer in the living room to accommodate US plugs which was a life saver because I forgot to pack converters. Some of the plugs had USB ports but I could not get them to work with my phone charger. We were able to find adapters at the shop near the waterfront in Soufriere but it took some asking around. We also learned the ATM at the Bank of St Lucia near the waterfront will issue US dollars.
We packed earplugs as the wildlife really is quite noisy, there was a beetle that was especially memorable given the volume this small creature could produce.
We brought a float for the pool but it was cool and rainy the week we went so we did not use the pool much. The power did go out a few times and I'd recommend throwing matches and tea lights or string lights/batteries to have just in case. Then if the power goes out enjoy a drink and your mood lighting.
The breakfast they bring you each morning is hearty (pancakes, eggs, fruit, juice, etc) but it starts after 8am so we had often already left by then. The kitchen in the room is well equipped to prepare your own meals with plenty of frying pans, etc. We went by Plas Kassav on our way back from a waterfall hike and picked up some of their baked breads and fried chicken which was perfect when we needed a quick meal.
Housekeeping comes in daily and freshens up both the rooms and the pools. There is always someone nearby if you need anything.
We drove all around the island in a Suzuki Jimny. The road to the Crystals is a little bumpy once you get off the main drag; however consider this a warm up if you plan to tour the island. The drive to Anse Chastanet was the longest and bumpiest we encountered while the drive in and out of Crystals is pretty short. That said, we did try to be back in our room for sunset and not navigate the roads after dark. The restaurant is a real party place. I was surprised given how peaceful and relaxing the rooms are but the restaurant has the steel drums going and the drinks flowing. As a guest they will pour you a rum drink in the bar and you can enjoy the music and atmosphere there. It's a fun change of pace.
