Amazing apartments near Marigot Bay
Our stay at Royal Escape near Marigot Bay and Anse La Raye was amazing. If you’re looking for an ideal base to explore both the north and south of St. Lucia, this is the place to be. Its central location makes it easy to enjoy day trips to the breathtaking beaches and volcanic landscapes of Soufrière in the south, as well as the lively atmosphere and attractions of Rodney Bay, Castries, and Pigeon Island in the north.
The apartment itself is absolutely stunning — spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. It features a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy lounge area, making it feel like a true home away from home. The outdoor space is a highlight: there’s a barbecue area, a small pool, and a comfortable lounge area perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. One of our favorite spots was the balcony, where we could relax and watch hummingbirds and flying gracefully from flower to flower — a truly magical experience.
What really sets Royal Escape apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality.
From the moment we arrived, Pat welcomed us with her big smile and exceptional warmth, immediately making us feel at home.
She greeted us with fresh local treats, including bread, eggs, and refreshing coconut water. Pat went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, offering valuable advice about local restaurants, tours, taxis, and the best snorkeling spots. Her kindness and attention to detail made such a difference, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about her guests’ comfort and experience.
we were also greeted every day by her beautiful cat and kittens, whose affectionate company made our stay even more special.
Evenings at Royal Escape were pure bliss. After a day of beach-hopping, trekking, or snorkeling, we loved unwinding with a cocktail in the lounge area, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere under the stars. It was the perfect way to end each day.
I will recommend Royal Escape as it offers a level of comfort and tranquility that exceeds any hotel stay.
The combination of a perfect location, a beautifully maintained apartment, and Pat’s truly exceptional hospitality makes this a hidden gem in St. Lucia. We can’t wait to return!

Best accomodation in St. Lucia
Great accommodation, in a beautiful environment, in a calm, quiet street. The apartment is huge, with a kitchen, a huge bathroom and a spacious terrace. The owners also live here, and will help you at any time, with anything. Free washing is available, only the use of the dryer is charged, but everything can dry easily on the terrace without it. There are a lot of birds in the garden, their songs can be heard already in the morning. I can only recommend it.

Great location
Pat is a great host. The place is really clean with a nice view. The room is very big. It's very convenient as it's between the South with South Beach and the North with Pigeon Park. I strongly recommend it. And the price is really good for saint Lucia

A very enjoyable two weeks in St Lucia at the Royal Escape
The Royal Escape is in a very good position to explore the island and is apart from the very touristy parts of the island. It’s about a mile from the sea and village so you do need to hire a car to get around.
Pat and Nathaniel could not be more helpful. They arranged for a lovely local taxi driver to do the airport transfers and for a suitable hire car for the rest of the time. I would not recommend arriving after a long flight and trying to navigate the roads yourself, especially in the dark. Although the roads are rough, we were fine with them after a day or two.
The property is new, very well equipped and set in a beautiful, well kept garden. There were a few small glitches because of the newness, but our hosts attended to them immediately.
There are not many places to eat in the evening nearby so we tended to self cater for breakfast and evening meals. It was fun shopping in the supermarkets and in the local village, where everyone was friendly and helpful.
Although the island is just 27 miles long, it takes longer than expected to drive around as it is extremely mountainous. We tended to head north or south for a long day out, having a rest day in between at a welcoming nearby resort hotel such as TiKaye which we really enjoyed.
There are plantations to explore, the high rain forest fauna and flora, and beautiful coral reefs and beaches for fantastic snorkelling and swimming. Don’t be put off by the scare stories re the road to Anse Chastenet - there are far worse roads and this and the adjacent beach are well worth visiting for the very best snorkelling.
It was a great experience to stay in the Royal Escape and get to interact with locals and experience the essence of the island - I would highly recommend it.

Excellent guesthouse with great people as hosts, i already miss being there
If you're looking for a place to stay for your vacation in Saint-Lucia, dont even hesitate and choose Royal Escape, Pat and Nathaniel were really wonderful, they made everything easy for me. They were always available and made sure everything was going great for me. The appartment is a dream, the pool, the bedrooms, i just really loved everything.The neighborhood is really quiet, so great place to relax after a long day visiting the island. The house is fully equipped , so dont need to worry about anything
