Really clean rooms but the thumping beat of the gym music from 5:50 am was an alarm call I didn’t request. Clean room but not relaxing with techno dance classics from 5:48 am

Can do better

Firstly the good. The hotel 8s spotless, the food lovely and the staff are very accomodating and friendly. I had never stayed here before so it was a new experience. I had to.pay extra for breakfast (which I know a lot of hotels do now). The bad (or should I say slightly annoying) was the fact that the hotel has good spa facilities but you have to pay extra to use them (even as a paying guest at the hotel) . To have to pay £25 to use the pool in a hotel that you have paid to stay at, to me, is somewhat scandalous!

Spa was great and staff were lovely but the room was in need of some tlc there was holes in the wall from previous fixings and the shower head was covered in mildew and limescale. The breakfast cost £15 per person and when it arrived to the table it looked nothing like a £15 breakfast which was a disappointing end to the stay unfortunately

Disappointing Service and Poor Value for Money

I visited The White House in Rhuallt recently with the intention of signing up for a gym and spa membership. At £85 per month, I expected a professional and informative induction. Unfortunately, the experience at the front desk was incredibly off-putting.
When I asked the staff member for details regarding the facilities, I was simply told to "have a look online." It was quite awkward being told to check a website while I was standing right there at the desk ready to join. When I asked specific questions—such as whether they had a stair master—the response was strange and dismissive, which made me feel quite embarrassed for even asking.
The Facilities:
Compared to other gyms in the local area, the equipment is quite limited. If you are looking for a comprehensive range of machines (like a stair master), you might be disappointed. I ended up paying £35 for a day pass, which felt extremely steep given the lack of facilities. While the setting is nice, the "premium" price tag doesn’t match the level of equipment or the customer service provided.
Verdict:
If you’re looking for a friendly, well-equipped gym where you feel valued as a member, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. For £85 a month, you can find much better facilities and far more helpful staff in the surrounding area.

It is unacceptable to state that any swimming poole is available and then have the audacity to charge an additional fee for its use.
The mattress was the worst I have slept on for many years.
