Special wedding venue

We cannot recommend the Stanwick Hotel highly enough! We had our wedding there on the 13th of June and stayed from the Friday through to the Monday, and from start to finish the whole weekend was absolutely perfect.
The staff were truly outstanding. The support, care and attention they gave us throughout the entire weekend made it a celebration we’ll never forget. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment with our family and friends.
The food was absolutely delicious and everything was prepared and served perfectly on time. Our guests who stayed at the hotel all commented on how much they enjoyed their rooms and the fantastic breakfasts, and we’ve got to say the Sunday dinners are the best we’ve ever had!
So many of our guests told us that the venue was fantastic and that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, which was wonderful to hear and is a real testament to the incredible team at Stanwick Hotel.
We honestly cannot thank everyone at Stanwick enough for making our wedding weekend so special and memorable. We already can’t wait to come back for future parties, family lunches and, of course, more amazing Sunday dinners!
Thank you all once again for giving us memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️

Clean Rooms. Comfortable beds

Firstly the positives -
Staff welcoming check in very smooth.
Room lovely and clean with good aircon and huge bed. Tv with lots of channels, toiletries, and tea/ coffee/. Iron and ironing board.
Breakfast was ok it was served as a buffet during our stay. Food was lukewarm.
We had specifically booked this hotel as we were driving from London to attend a friends birthday Party locally. As we were on time constraints we had chosen a hotel with a restaurant so we could grab something to eat before getting ready. We were sat down with menus, put our order in to then be told that we couldn’t eat there as they had a wedding on and catering for that takes priority. We would have to come back in two hours. So if you intend to use the restaurant for lunch or dinner check there isn’t an event on!
We ended up walking to the Duke of wellington pub in Stanwick ( about a 15 minute walk) which was lovely.

What a fantastic hotel .Its feels like we were on holiday .

We celebrated our 37th aniversary we had a fantastic meal a 12 out of 10 for the chief !!! The waiting staff were fabulous .Adam and Heather where so attentive and engaging ensuring everything was alright .Then we went outside where a fantastic singer was entertaining g the guests .Well Done the Stanwick Hotel .

Cancelled on us last minute

We booked this hotel nearly a year ago via booking.com to attend a wedding in the village, only to have our room cancelled 3 weeks before the event. When speaking to the hotel they tried to blame booking.com for over riding their systems! What actually happened was a wedding was booked in and they wanted the rooms for those guests, leaving us living over 3 hours away with no accommodation. We have since found out they also cancelled other people’s rooms that were attending a wedding in the village. Would not recommend at all when you’re treated like this. Abysmal service, avoid like the plague if you’d like a guaranteed room.

Betrayal

Food and venue is good but I wouldn’t expect them to uphold your booking as they cancel serval guest from my brothers wedding just because they got another booking wouldn’t trust them as far as you can throw them literally cancel peoples booking a week before to make more money
