Fab getaway

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in the Shepard’s hut with our 2 dogs.
Had a fab time, huts really cosy, log fire Is a great addition!
It was sunny whilst we were there and the garden at the hut is a perfect sun trap!
Surrounding walks are really good too.
The food and drink in the pub is really good and not expensive!
Steak is massive and great! Nice home cooked food, with good service!
Will definitely return to the hut again!

happy to allow dogs

as a local this pub has it all.the beer is good, the locals are friendly ,the food served is top notch AND dogs are allowed to be with their family when they eat. just like home. Adidas I say that the public an is a cracker too? She is lovely, friendly and a good cook

Walking with Offa - Dormice and Archangels in Hope Valley.

The Ludlow CAB Walkers started/finished their walk at The Stables Inn.
We were welcomed by Bronwyn and Joanne who served the group an excellent lunch, from an extensive menu, along with a range of local beers and soft drinks.
The price range being very reasonable.
In spite of the inclement weather we were shown exceedingly good hospitality, with our group being seated on a large communal table in front of the lighted woodburner situated in the expansive inglenook fireplace.
Bronwyn is very obliging and is willing to arrange earlier opening times during the week for groups like ours, by prior arrangement.
Having enjoyed our visit we shall no doubt return again to explore further footpaths in this delightful location.

Winter wonderland

Came for a stay between Christmas and New year's eve. The pub is very oldy worldly with a log fire.
Food was amazing.
I would just like to say to Bronwyn and Tash thank you for taking such good care of us.
Thank you for the lovely accommodation.
We really enjoyed the stay.
The shepherds hut is quirky, but had everything we need to enjoy our stay.

Meal for 2 - very good

Weren't staying overnight so have no comments about accommodation. Meal for 2 (1 steak pie & 1 ham & egg bake). Ham&egg's bake was very good, steak pie was good& substantial but meat quite tough. Sat in garden watching sun go down. Inn is set in lovely countryside, in quiet lane. Pint of real all plus white wine & lemonade was £6.90.
Quite small & rustic but a proper authentic pub.
