Really enjoyed our stay here. Delightful quaint hotel with lovely ancient rooms full of character. Owners were very helpful and let us pick up the room keys early since we were attending a local festival. However, we had to ring them to confirm this since no comms whatsoever through the hotel.Com messaging service despite multiple attempts.. Also Hotel.Com stated that a full English breakfast was included in the rate but only continental breakfast was offered by the hotel. This is unacceptable and needs sorting out soonest by Hotel.Com so guests are not misled. However, overall we enjoyed our night at the thatched cottage inn and would stay again.

Room was brilliant, cooked breakfast was amazing, continental breakfast did the job but quite basic, coffee machine was down too but overall for the price a good stay, plus there was a big event on nearby so we were lucky to get the room

The hotel is on a main road right on a crossroads
The room was clean fresh bedding bathroom adequate but tired, toilet brush had no handle! Only 'continental' breakfast included in price not english as advertised....this consisted of a few slices of bread, choice of rice krispies cornflakes or malties and some pre wrapped croissants and pain au chocolate, only coffee granules or teabags and when asked if there was any juice was presented with a 2 litre plastic container with a half pint tankard! Unable to get evening meal as no chef but told 'theres a fish and chips shop up the road!!!

Super place to stay, breakfast was continental style but nice, staff vrry friendly and helpful, I will return in the future, 😃

The property looks great from the outside, and the bedrooms are good sized on the inside. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and there was a bath with shower over.
They provide a continental breakfast only which is self service and basic. There were three cereal choices, Cranberry juice or water to drink and tea and toast. The butter had been previously used and the hygiene wasn't very good. There was fruit in the shape of apples or Blackish bananas.
The dining room hadn't been cleaned from the night before so the floor and tables were horribly sticky.
