Great base for a short stay. Had been to see an act at Sheffield City Hall as well as see my daughter at uni there. Great central position.
Not the owners fault, but as a single female could see how could be a little intimidated, two lads were sat legs out their window by the main entrance as I walked my daughter to friends around 11pm.

You couldn't pay me to return to this appalling place

Truly diabolical.. one of the worst places I have stayed. Not sure where to start so I will just list everything wrong.
I travelled to Sheffield as a solo female for work and I frequently stay in different cities, never have I felt so uncomfortable staying somewhere as this and I have done hostels in sotuh america, these were truly lovely compared. Firstly I was never sent any check-in details or information on how to locate or access the accomodation, resulting in me sat in the street trying to contact whoever lets the apartments, but low and behold they have NO online contact details, phone number or email. I had to end up finding their details through I private travel agency as no informtation is available to the public. Thanks for leaving me stranded for hours :)
The apartment is terrible. It was ground floor and the window that opens directly onto a bin alley behind the building was completely broken so I had no way of securing or closing the window at night, anyone could have simply lifted the window and climbed in.
It is filthy!!!! Dog hair and other peoples hair all over the floor, a mouldy bathroom and the shower gel provided was full of black mould. Countless pieces of BROKEN GLASS on the floor. The sheets are horrendously cheap and bobbled and stained. The mattress is completely dipped in the middle. There is literally no point there even being a TV in there as it doesn't even turn on. The batteries in the remote were leaking bettery acid and swollen, they must have been sat in there for years. Cupboard doors are broken, there was food flicked onto and dried on the walls, the SMOKE ALARM was covered up with tin foil!?? The peep-hole on the door so you could see anyone knocking was filled in with tissue paper, I could go on. I left this apartment feeling dirtier than when I arrived. It was an overall horrendous stay, and for £75 a NIGHT!!!! Do not believe the booking.com reviews, this place should NOT be let to anyone until it recieves some serious TLC. It wouldn't even cost much to get some new sheets and ameneties but the owners seem to care very little about the place. I question truly if it has even been cleaned between guests. You couldn't pay me to return here.

Avoid :(

To start on a positive note the location was amazing right by the Cathedral and in the heart of the city - the apartment was easy to find and pretty easy to access. The apartment we was given was not the apartment on the picture and was quite run down and "grubby" the apartment smelt of pub toilets if that makes sense? The cleanliness was pretty poor with toe nail clippings on the floor and also general grim on the skirting boards. The shower was clean apart from the door which had a large build up of black scum on seals. The most disappointing part was the bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was clearly very cheap , thin and very used. The bedding was very old and "bobbly" which I have taken pictures of. The flat could do with a new mattress, new bedding and a lick of paint. There was a hair drier which was about 20years old so I didn't use this. The towels provided were very very thing and once wet smelt of wet dog?? I wouldn't stay here again which is a shame as the location was great!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

-Dirty inside and out (carpet stained/walls stained) Dirty windows
-Broken blinds/ windows don’t open
-Dangerous socket (gap on plastic)
Tried to contact owners on the number given- NO reply.
Should NOT be rented out in this state.

Possible scam? We never got to find it although we had paid.

We paid in advance. We’re not sent instructions to find the place and book in. We looked everywhere for it. We found 19 Fig Tree lane but it was all locked and barred. We went to St James Place but couldn’t find anything there either. We emailed the morning we were arriving and subsequently phoned a couple of times but got no response.
Seeing the reviews it’s probably best we didn’t stay there but we have been scammed of our payment.
