Perfect hideaway in Pooley Bridge

What a find!! Booked last minute for a two night stay. From being given a wonderful warm welcome on arrival to the morning we sadly had to leave, everything was perfect for us.
Just a short stroll to Pooley Bridge ,it felt like we were in another world.So quiet, comfortable and peaceful, just what we needed. Ailsa and her team worked so hard to make sure everyone felt valued as guests, a big thank you to them all.
We will definitely return and recommend you book and find out for yourself .

Birthday Weekend

My partner booked to stay at Barton Hall for my Birthday weekend.
When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the owner. We were shown to our room.
The bedroom was absolutely beautiful, wonderful furnishings, comfortable bed and a roll top bath.
The breakfast was gorgeous, tea and coffee with fresh milk in the room.
The staff were fantastic nothing was too much.
We will definitely be back.
The experience was amazing.
Great value for money.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

An absolute must!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Barton Hall. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome in what truly felt like a home away from home, set in a beautiful and tranquil setting. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our visit. It’s a genuinely family-friendly place, perfect for children — our four-year-old had an amazing time! We couldn’t recommend Barton Hall more highly. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful

Oh my goodness what a lovely house. We had two rooms and they were beautiful. We had a wonderful welcome from Ailsa.
Close to Pooley bridge. Lots of pubs for dinner.
Fabulous breakfast. I'm not usually into breakfast but it was delicious.
The views are stunning.
The house has a guest kitchen with is so useful.

A gem in the glorious Lake District

What a wonderful treat to be welcomed to her most beautiful home by Alisa and Jackie. The whole team were so friendly and helpful giving excellent advice on what to see and where to eat. The house is very special with beautiful furniture, art and gardens and is adjacent to green fields with sheep grazing nearby during our visit.
A sumptuous breakfast prepared us marvellously for the joys of exploring the magnificence of nearby Ullswater and the Lake District.
Long may Alisa and her lovely team continue to offer such hospitality.
