The staff Sam, MiMi, the young man with dark hair and Caitlin behind the bar who gave us bus details were exceptional they go out of their way for you. Likewise the person who served us breakfast on Saturday morning. I think it is comfortable and so friendly. A little paint required in rooms.

Good and bad.
We booked a night here as very close to the Bombay Sapphire Distillery.
The pub staff are very friendly and attentive and gave us a complimentary drink with our meal as it was our anniversary. Good food and great service. We were served by Charmaine (I think) and she was excellent. There was also a chap who greeted us on arrival (not sure of name, had a moustache) and he was also great, friendly and helpful.
Our room was very dark and really quite dingy. A beautiful summers day outside but we couldn’t see any of it. The room was situated in the stables in the car park and had I known this I may have not booked. Can be a bit noisy as the room is right across the car park the pub garden.
The room was somewhat clean but dusty as if only the main things are cleaned. Dust on the radio, top of the bed, remote controls, tv, a couple of cobwebs floating around in the breeze from the fan.
There was a used pod in the coffee machine and no milk provided in the fridge as per the sign on top. There were a couple of biscuits left but hadn’t been replenished. Also the smart TV does not connect to the internet.
There is a fan in there but the room was incredibly warm with no air circulation.
The bed was large and comfy, good warm shower and nice soft towels. Just need extra attention to the room with better cleaning and maybe a repaint as some of that looked quite dirty and some mould and stained grout in the shower.

What a gem! especially at the price. A really lovely pub, proper oldie-worldie, great food, and a lovely room. We really enjoyed this stay - strongly recommend.

Rooms were so hot even when wasnt that warm outside. Found someone this morning sleeping with their door wide open to corridor windows . Windows rather grim, window frame rotton, panes broken, carpet upstairs disgusting. No one available to checkout as they were too busy smoking outside. Room walls damage and very roughly filled not painted. Needs a good refurb

I stumbled on this little gem for a work stay ... but fell in love with hit as soon as i walked in - the staff are SO friendly and helpful, made you feel welcome straight away. The food is fantastic, i recommend Monday curry nights - unreal ! Breakfast was delish as well. My room was gorgeous, country vibes with a bit of glam, antique looking wardrobes, a fan, lots of coffee and tea and fresh milk ! I cannot wait to come back
