Fun family week
Such an enjoyable week with a large family group.Accommodation clean and well equipped with comfortable beds and seats.
Great facilities for outdoor tennis,football,putting ,play areas,water sports ..running / walking and the pool ,gym and games room valued on the wetter days.
All staff kind and friendly .
Gunpowder Restaurant / bar - simple tasty meals.

Fantastic weather and great cottages
Such a wonderful 10 days at Melfort Village - beautiful cottages and so much to do. We loved the Dolphins, Seals and Sea Eagles as well as the fishing on the loch with the new boat. Don't miss a visit to the Gunpowder cafe now that it has been refurbished. Wonderful team in the office and supporting - always so helpful.

Wonderful accommodation and excellent staff.
We have been visiting Melfort Village every year for more than 40 years. The cottages are of an excellent standard and the onsite facilities, including the pool, the games room, tennis court, the restaurant and snooker room mean there is plenty for all age groups. But the undoubted highlight is the friendly staff who go the extra mile to make sure your stay is the absolute best.

Relaxing bacation
Spent 5 days in one of the farm houses. Accommodation and equipment first class. Everything one needs no matter the weather. Very comfortable.
Club facilities good - tennis court, swimming pool, small gym and full sized snooker table. The gunpowder restaurant provided holiday food served by friendly staff. Ideal for us!
Loads of stuff to see in the local area.
We will be back next year!

A very enjoyable week in a beautiful setting.
We booked a 6 bed cottage for 4 adults and 2 young teenagers - me, my husband, our son and his family, plus our Border Collie. There was plenty of space for us all..
The cottage was great with a large sitting/dining/ kitchen room, which meant everyone was in contact even if cooking. The bedrooms were a bit small but adequate with good beds, and we had 2 bathrooms, both with showers ( one over a bath), and parking for two cars right st the door.
Our cottage was surrounded by trees though we had a lovely view through to the open dog exercising field. Dog walks could be in the field, or along the resort lanes, where everyone watched for children/dogs with a friendly wave as we passed.
We ate on several nights at the restaurant on site (Gunpowder Room) enjoying a varied menu and very good food, served by friendly and helpful staff plus the manager Sarah, and even enjoyed a free music night.
Reception staff were outstanding, answering many questions. They have also devised a very efficient late arrival procedure - an email was sent to our home address, prior to the holiday, detailing where to locate the "key safe" and a code number for the key. No time was wasted trying to find a staff member after a long and tiring drive.
An excellent swimming pool plus hot tub is available, plus table tennis and tennis courts . Washing machines and driers are sited behind reception. Reception itself is a very welcoming office, with gifts and snacks to buy, but more importantly, managed by very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Olwen and Calum stood out.
