Great place to stay in Argyll & Bute

Garbhein traditional B&B at Kilmelford is a real gem. Owners Lindsay and Susan, provided the warmest of welcomes and were the perfect hosts throughout our stay, offering two high quality ensuite rooms which were very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast offered a great choice cooked to perfection. This is an ideal accommodation choice for anyone visiting the wide range of attractions of Agyll & Bute. Would love to book again.

Lovely bed and breakfast

A lovely bed and breakfast - we only stayed one night as we were en route to a sailing trip but from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The room was spotless and very comfortable and the shower was great. Super breakfast with lots of choice. Will stay again when we are in the area.

Spot on.

It is my pleasure to write a review for this lovely, well run bed and breakfast.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Lesley who showed us to a spotless, modern little room with a good sized on-suite. All very clean and tidy and a comfortable bed which gave two restful nights sleep. Breakfast provided a good range of options and I enjoyed the local eggs (cooked to perfection!) Lesley and Susan are excellent hosts and I would recommend the Garbhein to anyone.

Oover priced and very poor breakfast.

Penny pinching hosts!! No room service! But nice modern room and shower. Had to ask for hand towel as my husband and I like one each. No room service at all the three days we stayed! Free parking. Would not recommend hotel/pub opposite as landlord the most unwelcoming man ever. Food was alright but overpriced. Lovely area to explore, KIlmartin has a great pub and serving good food.

Escape from city life .

Just spent 2 lovely days in this special jem of a place . Firstly I would like to say that the hosts are friendly and well informed about surrounding area . Rooms are very clean and well decorated , spacious and well equipped . Shower is amazing . Bedding was comfortable , had a great night sleep . Breakfast was lovely ( please try the scrambled eggs , one word amazing ) . Location is good for surrounding attractions . Spent 2 nights in local pub for dinner , really reasonable prices and good food . All in all a great escape from a busy home life . Thank you Susan and Lindsay . We'll be back .
