Warm Welcone. Nice beer.

Just dropped in for a quick pint. I happened to arrive just as the doors opened. Lovely warm welcome. Tara on the bar was friendly and chatty and despite the pub being empty at that point made my visit very enjoyable. We exchanged info about being vegan and I hope to be back to try out the menu one day. Even my Dog, Meg, liked (and in infact licked) Tara! Beer was good too.

Christmas getaway.

Came to meet some friends in the nearby town of Midhurst for an annual get together and found this delightful Inn online. On arrival we were welcomed by the landlord who showed us up to our room. The room was clean and warm with an ensuite shower room with underfloor heating which was welcoming.
We had our evening meal in the cosy restaurant area which had the added bonus of Carol singers while we had our meal. I had fish and chips and my partner had moussaka both of which were tasty with generous portions and reasonably priced.
All staff were very welcoming throughout our stay and if I'm in the area again I'd definitely stay. If l had to make a minor criticism there was no breakfast apart from a continental breakfast in the room however there was plenty of choice and good quality.

Lovely country pub near Goodwood races

Lovely country pub near to Goodwood races.
Stayed for 2 nights. Check in was easy and the lady who greeted us and took our food order was beyond helpful. In fact all the staff were wonderful and really went above and beyond for example trying to find me a phone charger and also asking if we needed dinner reservations the next day.
Rooms were clean and fit for purpose.
Rooms have a mini fridge but ours wasn’t plugged in but we plugged it in ourselves and waited for the drinks inside to cool.
Reasonably priced and tasty food in the pub restaurant. Proper home cooking was enjoyed by my mum and I.
The only drawback was the booking advertised breakfast included. I would expect some form of cooked breakfast but it was fruit and yogurt with pastries in the room. We don’t like pastries and would just expect a cooked breakfast on a two night trip away for the price.
Very clean and would stay again if we ever went to Goodwood races again. Uber drivers in the area too!

Brilliant food, Brilliant service

Had lunch with 3 friends today! Wonderful food, very reasonable prices. Amazing friendly service. The staff made the whole experience relaxing and a lot of fun!
We will definitely be back!!
Chairs could be more comfortable!! Just a suggestion.

What a find!

The Blue Bell has just reopened under new management. What a pleasure it was to visit it today. A little gem hidden in beautiful countryside. We didn't stay overnight but had a meal which was delicious and reasonably priced. Great service and dog friendly .We will definitely be returning.
