Fantastic price for a studio apartment. Had a full kitchen including microwave, dishwasher and washing machine so would be good for longer stays. Very helpful staff. Loads of shops nearby for essentials. Tesco Express right over the road. Clean room, good location. I'd definitely stay here again. Probably wouldn't choose the basement room again though just due to the lack of light. Comfy beds, very powerful fan.

The room was lovely, just as described. The small kitchenette was great for making breakfast, would have like to have kitchen roll in there for cleaning up, but it had everything else. Bathroom was a nice size and the shower was large. Bed was comfortable, and was close to amenities and shops, and the Metropolitan University, which is where I needed to get to. Staff were great, pleasant and friendly. The bar was nice and so were the cocktails. The lounge area was nice and relaxing with seating, plugs for laptops, books and beanbags. Breakfast was lovely for the price, though I was ill afterwards but i believe it was because of the eggs (the eggs issue on the news about imported eggs issues) but I don't know for sure. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

My room was under the hotel. A lovely room, it was massive, with a living room, kitchen area, bedroom and a huge bathroom. Spotlessly clean, the only downside was going down two large flights of stairs, also a bit of a musty smell, and I could hear water running in my room when I assume was a room nearby used their bathroom.
Otherwise this would be the perfect place to stay

I had a really great stay at Whitworth Locke. The room itself was excellent, and the staff were nice and welcoming throughout the visit. My only critique is the lack of air conditioning and the tiny window. It meant the room got quite hot but there was a fan provided so we still had a comfortable sleep. Aside from the temperature issue, it was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it.
