Would have deserved a beautification and modernization of the rooms.

The Colonnade is BEAUTIFUL old. The building and the rooms reflect that. You have to like that flair. The mattresses were a bit soft and already a bit slack. In the bathroom, only holes were left in the wall from a Toipa bracket, sockets had broken, the carpet had unsightly spots and a drawer handle was no longer present. You couldn't see through the windows on the ground floor because they were taped off. Staff were super friendly and took complaints patiently and seriously. The location of the hotel adds value to the stay. Just around the corner the small good breakfast cafe "Toast" and for dinner the "Prince Alfred". Very chic houses all around and the canal is within walking distance. So is the Underground.

Run down

I’ve stayed in lots of hotels over the years but none as bad as this. Overall very shabby and run down. The room AirCon was not working so they’d put a temporary unit in the room however it was a bodge job and given the 30+ degree temperatures during our stay the portable unit created more heat than cool air as the windows did not open to dispel the hot air generated by the unit. The temperatures became so unbearable my wife actually passed out!!
Breakfast was terrible and service was shocking by all members of staff.
Definitely one for everyone to avoid

Bankruptcy --Closed

CLOSED DUE TO BANKRUPTCY, NO NOTICE TO CURRENT BOOKINGS. Arrived from airport to find hotel shuttle and at note on the door.

Administration colonade hote. Do not book

Omg. We booked this hotel and arrived to be greeted with a sign on the door saying it had gone into administration on the 16th December. No contact whatsoever. !! Do not book

A SINGLE DISASTER

The hotel is in good storage but serh old and worn out.
On the second day of my trip ALL guests had to leave the hotel within 3 hours The reason for a court block of the hotel due to bankruptcy.
The owner/hire worker were no longer present, only security.
It was elderly people, children and many other guests who were brought to the hotel with their luggage, in rain and cold and darkness. There were no offers where we could be accommodated and were left to our own devices.
Also from my booking platform AGODA, which I had immediately notified, I got NO REPLY, until today only pre-made messages with the request for patience.
And the worst part, this closed hotel is still offered on all platforms, including the one I use AGODA, even though they know the hotel is closed.
