Une très belle expérience...

Une très belle expérience du début à la fin. Dès l’entrée, le personnel est d’un accueil exceptionnel, chaleureux et attentionné, on se sent immédiatement à l’aise.
Le jeu de fléchettes entre deux plats a été un moment vraiment original et convivial, une parenthèse ludique très appréciée.
Nous avons eu le privilège de déguster des plats faits maison, tout simplement exceptionnels, aussi beaux que savoureux.
Les serveuses sont souriantes, bienveillantes et très professionnelles.
L’une d’elles a même pris le temps d’échanger avec nous dans un français timide, un geste que nous avons beaucoup apprécié.
La visite des chefs à notre table en fin de dîner a été un moment particulièrement agréable, humain et authentique.
Nous reviendrons sans hésiter et avec grand plaisir lors de notre prochain passage.
Merci à toute l'équipe pour ce beau souvenir ramené à Paris ❤️

Absolutely delicious Sunday roast

Since discovering this delightful Inn in December, we've been back several times for lunch but this was our first Sunday roast. What can I say! I had high hopes considering the standard of previous meals we've had, but this roast was absolutely delicious. My husband had the 24hr confit lamb shoulder (by far the best lamb he's ever had) and I went for the sirloin of beef, served pink and, oh my word, it was melt in the mouth tender and so flavourful. The Yorkshire puds were light and crispy and the veg beautifully cooked and generous. The gravy was packed with flavour and brought everything together. We shared a sticky toffee pudding which was divine. All washed down with a pint of Butty Bach and a delicious Malbec for me. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish al always great service from the staff team. Highly recommend

Amazing Oh So Fresh Fish and Chips !

Went here for the 1st time with a friend today (14th April), for lunch, upon recommendation. Tuesday off season must be one of the quietest days, but we were warmly welcomed.
I really wanted the traditional fish and chips, but in other establishments it is very hit and miss to be honest and generally am a bit or majorly disappointed, so I kept my fingers crossed, but the fish and chips here met all of my hopes. It really was the best fish and chips I've had in the area and I've lived in the Llangorse area for over 30 years. I grew up in Lancashire, so I know what good fish and chips are. Needless to say, it was so good, my plate was cleared.
My fish was as fresh as could be and was pearly, translucent white, cooked to perfection, with crispy, crunchy beer batter, and with absolutely no bones in, plus with the added bonus of no slimy skin underneath. The fries were great and the tartare sauce was homemade and the mushy peas were perfect. Absolutely nothing was soggy or greasy.
My friend had the pork ribs and she cleaned the whole plate too, because it was so tasty and succulent. Her side salad looked really fresh and crispy as well.
We wished we could have tried the desserts, but alas we were both too full up.
So, anyway, can really recommend the food, as other reviews have mentioned and the welcoming atmosphere. We will be back for more ! Big thanks to the excellent chef and the host.

Birthday visit to the Brecons

Lovely rooms , very comfortable lovely size bed , shower and bathroom all very nice .
Bar downstairs with a restaurant.
Staff were all very nice .
Would stay again whenever back in Brecon

Hidden gem, a must visit

We visited this pub last weekend after a recommendation, which turned out to be a real gem! The food was superb, the sort of quality you would expect in a city not a country pub, making the experience surpass expectations. We had delightful service from Julian, who brings his effervescent bonhomie with every visit to your table. He even managed to produce my dad’s favourite dessert, despite not being on the menu until the following day.
We also got to meet the chef, whose young age truly belies the depth of his talent. A truly memorable evening, wonderful company and food thank you to all. Will definitely be back next time we are in this part of Wales !
