The cottage was full of charm and very well equipped with all the necessities. Beds were clean and comfortable and the sitting room and kitchen areas were cosy and well-furnished with a nice attention to detail. All in all a lovely place to stay while exploring the historic centre of this lovely city with its amazing cathedral and fascinating castle. Everyone we spoke to was really friendly and helpful. A great little getaway!

Poor and NOT lemon sole goujons see pics

Thursday 6 th August afternoon
We ordered a bottle of wine and 2 “lemon sole goujons, I had been give a £25 voucher so thought we would try out the nearest venue , we waited 25 mins for our wine and cooler to be fetcched over ( there was around 6 more people in drinking ) it never arrived so after another 10 mins trying to find someone we asked and it had been forgotten !!!!! The food arrived !!!!!!! Well see attached pictures and make your own assumptions ,,,,,,, what a waste of a £25 voucher ,,, lemon sole goujons NOT , a processed square of fish remains YES we drank the wine and left

Great stay. Our room was beautiful and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was out of this world!

Centrally located in the historic district of Lincoln. Ten minutes walk to castle and cathedral and steep hill. Very old and large pub with restaurant. Individual boutique room. One gripe was lack of natural light in our room which was good in every other way. Staff are friendly and helpful. Car park at rear. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location in the centre of the Cathedral quarter. It’s an old building and as such the hotel/pub has quirks but it’s a lovely place to stay. We had a king size room which was extremely spacious with a palatial bathroom.
The breakfast was very good and our stay was great.
The pub itself is great too and the menu is extensive catering for all tastes.
For the price and location it was spot on. We would highly recommend it.
