Great hostel

We enjoyed this hostel. The building is lovely, it’s a short walk to the waterfront and shops. The kitchen is well equipped and the entire hostel is clean and well maintained. There are enough rooms to find a quiet place to read or a spot for watching tv or playing games. The staff were really lovely.

Best Lerwick place for the night

This hostel is simply the best place to stay in Lerwick. Wooden panelled walls, stained glass, a huge well equipped kitchen and a great place to meet fellow Shetland lovers new and old

Home from Home

Return visit with great pleasure. Professional, very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and very well maintained facilities plus a newly renovated kitchen. Spacious dining room and lounge. Lovely gardens and quiet location. Enough parking. Easy to walk to Commercial Street.

Excellent hostel accommodation

Impressive from the outside. It must be one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in ... absolutely deserved its' award in 2012/13 ... don't know why its not got it again.
It's run very efficiently alongside the community centre on the other side of the road - we didn't try the cafe there, but it was well recommended. We were very happy with the cleaning regime ... didn't really expect to have our room serviced in a hostel - but it was!
The large building boasts lovely big rooms, a well equipped kitchen, a huge dining room, a comfortable, quiet lounge and even a games room where you can play pool if you want to.
It's ideally located, within 15 minutes walk from everything you need - ferry terminal, museum, cafés and restaurants on the quay, supermarkets and the town bus stops just outside the hostel too. The staff here are super friendly and helpful.

One of the best

Everything a hostel should be, great kitchen and dining area, very pleasant staff, super showers, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and in a great location. The adjoining cafe serves up good food at reasonable prices in a wonderful Gothic building
