Good location to be just not as expected

Not good view at all.
Doors would slam shut as they were heavy doors so not much sleep at all.
Staff were friendly
Its in a good location
Food was ok as well
Only thing is that its a dog friendly hotel and dog owners were walking there dogs while customers were eating there food.
The room could do with a refresh.

Poor experience. Won’t be staying there again.
The double room with a double bed was very small. The bathroom had a shower and no bath. The toilet sear was broken. There was no place to put toiletries, only the floor.
We had evening meal there, it was not to a good standard. I had ordered the rump steak with cheese sauce.it did not arrive as described, it was actually strips of chewy beef ( which had not been made clear on the description on the menu). It also arrived on top a huge Naan Bread which had absorbed all the sauce.Also it was served with a few rather overcooked chips, but as the menu hadn’t stated this, I ordered chips as an extra, but wasn’t told when ordering that they were already included.
The breakfast which had been described as ‘ superb’ was a disaster. To begin with as a buffet it just consisted of apple or orange juice and small cartons of cereal . No fresh fruit, or tinned fruit, no yoghurts of pastries, or ham and cheeses. I asked for part of the Full English breakfast , namely bacon an egg and mushrooms. 2 pieces of extremely hard bacon arrived with 2 poached eggs that were inedible, so hard and overcooked, I can honestly say I left the hotel feeling hungry.
One last point that the hotel might want to take on board is that there was only a bed side light at one side of the bed and it was completely dazzling when switched on, it actually hurt my eyes so couldn’t use it at all.
As a plus, the hotel was in a beautiful position near a lake and as it was a lovely night, we sat outside on the patio with a bottle of wine which was lovely.

Beautiful 10/10
The room was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed, the shower was a little small and not very powerful, it was an electric shower, but that was the only thing we could find that we didn’t like so much.
The food in the restaurant was delicious, cooked to order and you could tell it was fresh. The girls who were waiting on were lovely, so friendly and made an effort to talk to you! ( I believe ours were called McKenzie and Jess) both lovely girls and are a credit to the business. We ate in one of the dining pods. Absolutely great, playing your own music, just you and who you booked with. Very clean as well. They also had heaters in there.
Breakfast the following morning, again cooked to order, fresh and very tasty.
Checking in and out was so easy, short walk to the beautiful lake, and delicious food. 10/10 for us!!!
