Room was clean but room view was just to the rear of the hotel and station exit, staff on reception were lovely and helpful, breakfast was ok but not quality ingredients used, scrambled eggs very watery, fruit options very limited and all cleared away promptly from 10am so don’t leave it late getting there.

Underwhelming overpriced stay

Please don’t rely on the star rating as this hotel is definitely not 4*, please also don’t rely on the stock images as they are not true to form. I found this stay overpriced and underwhelming, the reception staff seemed to have lost the will to live and the room was like a sauna, on the upside the young lady on the bar was amazing they need to make sure they keep hold of that one!

Tired and rundown

My husband and I had a 1 night midweek stay at the beginning of August. I thought that Milennium hotels had a good reputation for service and quality of their rooms so we chose this hotel based on the brand and the great central location. The good location was the only thing that was correct. The hotel is rated as 4 star but I am unable to see how it achieves this standard.
Our room (101) was very dated and shabby. Old furniture and a chair that was so uncomfortable. There was no view whatsoever as the window was frosted. This also meant that you couldn’t gauge what the weather was like.
The shower had a shower curtain which just stuck to you when you showered. The radiator in the bathroom was rusty.
We were going to have a drink at the bar but there was never anyone there so no atmosphere. We went to the Radisson for cocktails instead and this place was vibrant and buzzing.
Overall an extremely disappointing experience. The hotel is tired, outdated, rundown, grubby and desperately needs refurbishment.
On checking out had anyone bothered to ask how my stay had been I would have stated my issues but no one seemed bothered.
Definitely not worth the £160 we paid.

Bar was good, room kinda dated. No USB for phone charging. Nice old hotel in a good location.

Quality of the breakfast left alot to be desired. No restaurant despite what was advertised.
