Wonderful staff, excellent food and great value for money

An ideal location for our event. Very friendly atmosphere with informative host. Room was fresh and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - good choices and freshly prepared. Absolutely value for money and will definitely use again. Take care parking to point your car facing outward to either of the roads, especially the main road.

Shocking manager

We have been before for Sunday lunch and was fabulous went yesterday for dinner with friends. We got seated and ordered drinks our table was in the bar we waited and waited 30 minutes for someone to take our food order we asked the waiter called harry and he told us he would come and take our order when he wasn’t busy doing absolutely nothing!! Just walking about with a tea towel hanging off his waist . Finally I asked again to order from the young lady waitress who was run off her feet she took our order. We watched Harry who was still doing nothing!! After nearly an hour I asked where our food was and he told us we only have 2 chefs on tonight and a chicken Kiev takes 32 minutes I told him I wasn’t aware of this . The 2 girls working were run off their feet and he walked around doing nothing. The food arrived my food was delicious but our friends chip were really dry the pie with them was delicious. We asked the girl if harry was the manager and she said yes … Harry really needs some more customer service skills and be shown just because he’s the manager you still need to pull your weight !!

Great find

We called on the off chance of getting a table and it wasn't a problem, the staff looked after us well, I had gammon which was spot on and my wife had the sea bass which she thoroughly enjoyed. The locals were friendly too. We will be back for sure

a stunning one night stay

a lovely stay in a recently refurbished Thwaites pub, Sharon and her team are lovely, a little bit confusing on check in, but we got there. We had a lovely room, all new and everything working. Breakfast was lovely, a huge selection, if you go got the full cooked, beware its HUGE, Thank you Sharon and the team, hopefully we will be back
