What a gorgeous place!

My partner and I decided we fancied a change from the normal hotel and we wanted to be surrounded by nature and not technology for once! Well, these yurts were just gorgeous! We stayed in the fire yurt which is the biggest one and the bed was unbelievably comfy. You get your own bbq and coal is available with outdoor furniture. There is a log burner in each yurt if it gets cold. It rained a little whilst we were there but the sound of the rain was just so peaceful on the yurt. You have a shared kitchen where you get your own fridge which is stocked with complimentary drinks and a cheeseboard upon your arrival. Phil was lovely and he is there to greet you and show you around as soon as you arrive. There are two bathrooms so you maybe have to share with another couple but it didn’t bother us in the slightest because it was stunning. There is also a campfire in the middle and they sometimes have marshmallows on skewers for you to enjoy. Would definitely recommend. It’s a hidden gem and the staff only live 2 minutes away so are always happy to help if needed.

What a hidden gem!

We stayed here en route from Scotland to Suffolk...needing a hotel to break the journey. We stayed two nights in the Fire Yurt, which other than the short trip to the beautiful bathroom, could easily have been an excellent hotel complex. The Yurt was luxurious, the service and care and attention to design and service is excellent. The setting is idyllic, in lush meadows, with wildlife a plenty, excellent cycling country and some first class eateries recommended by the owners.
We could easily have stayed here and cancelled Suffolk.
Meadow Vale Retreats will not remain secret for long!

Fantastic break

We stayed here for one night and it was lovely. We received a text in the morning before check in to let us know where we we're going and that someone would be there to greet us when we arrived. Upon arrival the host was great at showing us around and making us feel comfortable, he even sent me a list of local recommendations for places to eat - we did visit one of the local pubs and it was great. The yurt itself was clean and tidy and very well finished - the bed was super comfy too. The facilities were great, the kitchen and bathrooms were immaculate and seemed brand new. It was very nice to receive a cheeseboard and some local juices upon arrival too, these went down a treat.
We would 100% recommend and will definitely be back.

Weekend escape

A last minute booking that far exceeded our expectations. We have never stayed in a yurt before but would highly recommend staying here. The traditional Mongolian yurt was large and comfortable. It is in a huge meadow field surrounded by hares, barn owls and the constant background song of skylarks. Idyllic!
The facilities are luxurious with a very well equipped kitchen and bathroom.
Phil went above and beyond to make us welcome, show us round and recommend top class places to eat.
This is a great spot whether you want to stop & relax or explore on foot or by bike.
