Traditional Style and Great Location

Last minute booking to visit my grandchildren. Perfect location for Fleet and surrounding areas. From the tree lined drive to the impressive staircase and rooms with huge windows overlooking the gardens it’s been a pleasure visiting. Reviews on food were poor but the breakfast served was good quality and help yourself buffet with delicious coffee. I’d recommend staying here. Shower was powerful so you feel refreshed. Bed was comfy and all extras were here. Iron, board, tea and coffee. Fan due to the heatwaves

My partner and myself stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although busy over the bank holiday, we had an incredibly relaxed and quiet enough time.
The grounds are large with benches and garden furniture scattered around with plenty of private space.
Our room was a great size which was spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee was readily available and topped up which was a nice touch.
Very welcoming staff from start to check out. 10 min walk takes you into Fleet town which has great bars and restaurants for every taste. Easy access to main roads and motorway.

Lots of parking close to walk to town for restaurants and bars. Very lovely area. Hotel had great beer garden and bar. Clean comfortable room.

Charming, friendly hotel

The Lismoyne Hotel is in a splendid Edwardian house in a secluded part of Fleet. Staying there is like stepping back in time, but with all mod cons.
The gardens are beautiful, with some spectacular mature trees. It’s well off any main raods with plenty of parking available. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and courteous - I felt very welcome. Breakfast was super - one day it was a buffet service, the next day served by the staff. I also ate at the hotel one night and had a drink at the bar - the food was delicious.
My room was at the top of the building, with steep stairs to access, and the building maintains many orginal features so obviously not everything is brand sparkly new. For me, this adds to the charm and individuality of the place. But if it’s not to your taste, you’d be better off in one of the many chain hotels in and around Fleet.

The room was fine, the was all the basic amenities you would expect and a fan, which was very much needed in the hot weather. In the small bathroom, the shower enclosure had mould in places and the extractor fan had a lot of dust (?) on it. The housekeeping staff ignored the fact I said I did not need anything doing in the room on the second day and came in the room when I was out. This was possibly due to poor language skills, however the wish of a guest and their right to privacy should be respected, whether they are in the room or not, as long as there is no proper reason to check a room. This was the first time this has happened to me in a hotel, usually you can either put a 'do not disturb' or 'no housekeeping' note on the door or tell staff your wishes and they do not enter your room.
The room had very creaky floors, despite the thick carpet, it is an old hotel with no lift, but it is set in lovely grounds with some beautiful trees, so a pleasant place to stay which is a short walk from shops and eating places.
