Great Location
A lovely old and lively pub with rooms. It is in a great location to walk into town, the station or across the road to the retail park. The room was very large and very clean. The bathroom was well presented with big fluffy towels. There was coffee pod machine/tea coffee and water. The bed was confortable. The pub has a nice beer garden and a very good menu which is excellent value and very popular with locals. The cooked breakfast was large and delicious with good quality ingredients. The hotels does not have a car park, but the station car park, round the corner, has free overnight parking. Everyone was very welcoming and efficient. Well done to all.

Don’t leave food on your plate
Went to dine last Saturday afternoon and as the place was busy and under staffed we were placed in the dining room which was not a problem ,the problem started when our plates were removed from the table with food not finished as the food was good, I went to the bar to order drinks my son took my grandson to the toilet, our phones glasses were left on the table to signify were were not finished our meal and also the cutlery was also placed again to signify were were not finished our food but the plates were still removed with our half eaten food,when we came back and complained my grandson was offered a free desert which was kindly refused as he wanted his food so they went and got another plate of food for him after this we paid the bill and left my son left a tip but if I was paying my tip would be to teach the staff the correct way how and when to remove plates with unfinished food if nobody at the table

Lovely staff and a lovely place to stay!
I stayed here with my partner as we were attending a music event. The staff attended to us the minute we arrived, showing us to our room and booking lunch in the restaurant. The room was extremely tidy and the bed was very comfortable. Lunch was lovely as well - standard pub grub which suits us well. The waiting staff and the lady who booked us in were all super friendly and kind making sure we were well attended to. Breakfast was included which for the price was very reasonable and breakfast was a good variety and good quality too. We had the cooked breakfast which included haggis which is always a plus. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and making us feel welcome for our first time in Falkirk!

Good location, train station around the corner, and bus stops in front of hotel. Friendly atmosphere. Fairly priced. Room was spacious and very clean. Bed was comfy. One thing I would say is it could do with a shelf and hooks in bathroom as nowhere to put you things or damp towels. Some noise from road traffic as our room was at the front of the hotel but didn’t disturb sleep. Excellent service, excellent breakfast, tried 3 of 4 choices and would recommend all. Thank you for looking after us.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience, First of all put us at a table that was unstable after trying to sort it with beer mats got moved to another table,ordered prawn cocktail only to be given shrimps couldn't get any smaller obviously frozen then defrosted,main course after waiting a while was also terrible the turkey and beef were like leather,ran out of sticky toffee pudding,asked for extra gravy in a small jug might as well be talking Clingon,and a deposit of 30 pounds had to be paid when booked tried to be smart and didn't take it off the total bill until I confronted 1 of the useless staff to have it removed, overpriced bar food, would NEVER return absolute disappointment

In relation to your comment regarding the prawn cocktail we will certainly consider using the title “Shrimp Cocktail” to save any confusion in the future. I am sorry to hear that the meat wasn’t to your liking and I will certainly raise this with the kitchen staff. In regard to running out of sticky toffee pudding again apologies for this however as I am sure you’ll understand it is very difficult to anticipate exactly how much of each and every item we need on any given day so shortfalls do sometimes happen. In regard to the confusion over the deposit I can assure you that our staff would not have been trying to pull the wool over your eyes. This would have been a genuine error and for this I apologise. I do hope you would consider trying us again at some point in the future.
