Wonderful staff, perfect location and a hotel I will happily return to
The location is excellent: only a few minutes walk from Princes Street and Waverley station, and around 15 minutes from the Royal Mile. It is very convenient for exploring the city, but the hotel itself still feels calm and welcoming.
The rooms are spacious, very clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable.
Most of all, I would like to thank the staff. Everyone I met was professional, kind and genuinely helpful. I had some personal difficulties during my stay, and they went out of their way to support me. Their kindness really made a difference.
The hotel does not have a lift, which is understandable in a historic building, but the staff were always extremely helpful with anything I needed.
A lovely hotel, with wonderful people working there. I will happily return

We had a cozy double room which is in the basement of the hotel. Smaller than a double room BUT still an excellent size, with a clean and well laid out shower room.
There is no lift in the property, so there are quite a few staircases. I walk with a stick but found the stairs doable and on checking in the staff walked myself and my partner to the room.
The Place is an excellent base for exploring Edinburgh. Easy to reach from either the train station or bus station.
