My wife and I booked our honeymoon for a couple of days at the beautiful Duck Bay Hotel. It honestly was one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed at.
We booked a Suite and got room 1 overlooking the incredibly scenic waterfront of Loch Lomond. As soon as we walked through the door, the view made us speechless, you really just have to experience it! We didn’t want to leave the room, it was so fun staying in bed looking out the window at all the swimmers, paddleboarders, boats, and jet skis riding up and down the loch! The double bed was huge, very wide, comfy and not just two single beds attached together (which annoys us at other hotels!).
Dinner at the restaurant was brilliant too! My wife had the highland wagyu burger and I had the fillet steak, very tasty. For dessert we had the panna cotta and I had the cookie dough skillet with biscoff icecream (you need to try this, it was so good I ordered another one the next night!). Service with a smile, speedy, chatty, they made the dinner a great experience.
After dinner we relaxed in the Duck Bay Marina and had drinks outside in the sun next to the water. We ended the night taking some pictures on the pier where you feel like you’re swimming in Loch Lomond.
We had an absolutely amazing time at the Duck Bay Hotel and are actually planning another trip for next year… we’re just hoping room 1 is available again!! 😂

Rip off

Arrived at Duck bay marina hotel expecting a superior room to be given a delux double for over 400.00 for two nights. The room was awful small. No facilities in room, the patio was tiny with a camera right above it, giving no privicy. Left after half an hour, left room excactaly as it was and the manager wouldn't give us a refund. Had to ask for head office email. Haily the manager refused to even give us half the money back and her attitude wasn't great. Although we tried to get an upgrade and we're willing to pay there were no rooms left. Fair enough but she should have at least gave us a room for another time. Totally disgusted with a silly simple room over priced. Will be contacting head office. Honestly would not waist my money on the rooms.

Staff were excellent, we had a suite do the view was amazing. Only downside was that we couldn’t open the windows and the room was hot - but overall it was great

Excellent Family Lunch

Excellent service and food. We travelled here today for a Farewell lunch. We were late due to an accident on the road . They held the table and let us enjoy the lunch at our speed. Service was excellent and the view was stunning even on a cloudy day! Highly recommend.

Great hotel, spacious rooms, fantastic views, so tranquil would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway.
