Outside of building & staircase to rooms a bit shoddy , room was basic but spotlessly clean , food was excellent , staff are very nice , pleasant & polite … Hotel could be made more inviting by an exterior & staircase clean up & fresh paint

Terrible experience !! The room was advertised for four people, it could hardly fit two. There was no place where to hang the clothes, and no space to move around !! Absolute disaster !!
Had to cancel the reservation and booked another hotel !!
Even though it was their fault for advertising that room for four people, and it was not, they charged me for one night !!
Terrible experience, don’t book that hotel !! Save your money !!

This is a converted pub with an Indian Restaurant on the ground floor.
Food very good cooked to taste, no breakfast offered/available.
Rooms clean but dated.
TV not tuned in, only BBC channels available.
Good shower/bathroom.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

I was booked in to the Earl David hotel in Kirkcaldy and when I arrived I was warmly greeted at the desk and shown up to my room, when I was left to settle in and unpack I first noticed the stains and marks on the floor and on further inspection I found lots of cracks and marks on the walls, a strong smell of damp in the corner by my bed and the paint work was bubbling and peeling in places because of the damp. My bedding was covered in various large marks and was not clean enough to sleep in, the tea making facilities where not clean and left a horrible taste in my mouth, as an asthmatic the damp and dust started to affect my chest and I started coughing and wheezing. I went downstairs to complain and I all I got was take it up with booking.com no apologies no offer to clean it nothing and now I find myself in secondary accomodation further away. I have fully documented my experience and taken videos and pictures before they made any attempt to clean it after I left. If I could give zero stars I would.

The property was decent. The smell from the Nepalese restaurant was very apparent in our room. The beds were hard and pillows were lacking. Our room had a double and two twins and the room was to small for that amount of beds, barely enough room for our luggage.
