Great quirky holiday in a beautiful location

Lovely location, breakfast and service was excellent, room was a little tired and we felt, over priced at £253 per night

Amazing wedding venue

Just had our wedding at Cley Windmill and cannot recommend them enough. They were so easy and efficient to work for to plan the wedding everything went smoothly for the event. Karla and Laura were so helpful, on the day they were in the background if we needed help but weren’t intrusive.
The location is beautiful, right next to a river and miles off reed beds. Short walk to a lovely, pebble beach.
The nothing Windmill staff had recommended a photographer, florist and decorator who all worked out amazingly well.
The Windmill provided a delicious cream tea and we had the room to ourselves. We played our wedding day playlist and hat a dance.
We felt very special, especially as we had the location to ourselves for the wedding day.
We stayed in the Wheat Chambers, beautiful room overlooking the Broads.
Will definitely make a return trip….

Unique place to stay
We had The Millers room which was wonderful

We were so pleased to finally stay at the Windmill we’d first seen on Villages by the Sea and again from the North Norfolk Railway. It’s a remarkable building, and you can really appreciate how much care and investment must go into maintaining it.
We received a warm welcome on arrival and were very well looked after at breakfast each morning. Sadly, our stay didn’t coincide with any of the evenings when dinner is served, but the village has several good alternatives in the village (limited selection on Mondays).
We had a great view, especially when a thunderstorm passed over. The Windmill proved a perfect base for exploring North Norfolk.
Our ground‑floor room was comfortable, though not always fully private, as a couple of passing walkers stopped to look in through the window. Parking was also a little tight when we arrived, with only one space left, though this isn’t something the Windmill controls.
Overall, a memorable and unique place to stay, full of character and charm.

An absolutely stunning room and setting. Staff were so attentive and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will absolutely be coming back in the near future.
