Although the area we stayed in at the Pied Bull was in another section of building it was light and airy. The room was of a good size and comfy bed. With a large bathroom. The Pied Bull always clean and tidy
The staff always polite and helpful
sure to stay again.
Near everything you need but far enough from noise.
Looking forward to my next trip to Chester and the Pied Bull

We were in a room directly above a very noisy bar, and whilst I appreciate this is a pub, it's not what we expected based on the listing. The windows looked across a very narrow alley directly into the windows opposite, and so even in the middle of the afternoon all curtains had to be drawn to ensure any privacy. The bathroom was large and the shower was great, but we had towels with holes torn in them.
For basically £200 for one night this was far, far below what should be expected.

When turning the tap on, flushing the toilet, shower or the likes: a tremendous bellow from the waterworks that reverberated and often stirred randomly in the middle of the night to wake us. What you expect from an old building? Perhaps.

My wife and I had reservations on a junior four poster bed , the four poster bed was made of two x three plained wood, the room itself was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, the only things good were the shower and the breakfast.

Breakfast was excellent as was dinner.
Overall a really good location and stay.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
