Wonderful place to stay and great pub!

We loved staying here at The Beverley. Our room was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. We loved having the pub downstairs. It was a great choice for dinner upon arrival after a long flight and a bus ride from Heathrow. Breakfasts were great in the pub, as well.

Look no further!!!

First impression where that the building is lovely, old school pub bar area, so lost in today's world. Lovely outdoor area where I enjoyed the amazing breakfast each morning. It is a really great idea to have the three sizes of breakfast which not only reduces waste but allows for residents to not feel awful if they have not finished an over sized breakfast (my wife always does). The staff are the second gem here, everyone is attentive and very friendly-anything required is sourced and sorted straight away also- true South Walian hospitality! Things that could help improve would be: a lift (or help with bags for older people walking up the three flights of stairs to upper level rooms; irons/ironing boards in the rooms rather than having to source from the cleaners; smart TVs rather than just freeview so people can access Netflix/Prime etc and more powerful fans in the room as when we stayed it was very hot that weekend and the room was very warm to sleep in. Another very good experience was that we were only a 5 minute walk to the park (over the road and turn left at the next junction and the park is straight ahead) and the River Taff, where every hour ferry boats leave to the Bay and back, where there are numerous bars with artists singing etc and the lovely theatre (maybe advertise this more in the rooms?). On top of the cooked breakfast being fantastic, the food from the menu was also tremendous - my wife had the buffalo loaded fries and has still not shut up about them three days later haha. All in all, we don't need to look anywhere else in the future when coming to Cardiff -just absolutely brilliant and value for money to boot!

Great staff and a great stay!

The staff were absolutely great, very helpful and nothing was a problem for them - the location was perfect as really close to the city centre, we had a comfy spacious room and the food was great too, especially the breakfast, all round positive experience.

Great Family Room booking

We booked a family room (room 18) which was a great size for my family with comfortable beds ( 1 was a large foldout sofa), and a large bathroom which were both spotlessly clean. We had a superb cooked breakfast on Sunday morning from the breakfast menu which we had pre-booked. The check in and check out process was very straightforward and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a small car park at the back of our hotel which we were able to get into and leave our car there (you need to register the number plate in the check in app) whilst walking to the city centre and visiting Cardiff University (both about 20 mins walk in opposite directions). We also spent some time in the evening in the large bar area of the hotel which had the rugby and football showing on large TV screens. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to re-book again in the future.

Great pub

Nice local pub always have excellent service. Plenty of screens to watch sport, great choice of drinks and the happy hour is a bonus
