Perfect base for a family trip to Cambridge
We stayed here in July 2025 with our 10-month-old son Adam, and honestly it ticked every box we needed at that stage of life with a baby in tow.
The first thing worth mentioning: they provided a cot without any fuss whatsoever. We asked at check-in, and it was in the room within minutes. Small thing, but when you're travelling with a baby, it makes an enormous difference to feel like the hotel actually thought about families.
The location is genuinely unbeatable. The hotel sits right at Cambridge Central Station, so getting in and out of the city with a pushchair and all the gear that comes with a young child was completely stress-free. No long walks from a taxi drop-off, no cobblestone obstacle courses. You step off the train, and you're essentially already there.
The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The beds were genuinely good, which matters when you're already sleeping in fragments because of a little one. The Botanics are just a short walk away, and the city centre is easily reachable on foot or by bike.
The on-site cafe was a lifesaver for quick breakfasts and snacks, and the bar area downstairs had a really nice atmosphere in the evenings once Adam was down for the night. Staff throughout were warm and helpful, the kind of team that actually seems happy to be there.
For what it is, it delivers exactly what you need: clean, well-located, well-priced, and run by people who care. We'd stay again without a second thought.

We had a lovely two night stay at the Ibis Cambridge. The hotel room was very spacious, even with an extra bed for my son. We seemed to have an accessible room which meant the bathroom was large. The room was reasonably clean but there was some obvious marks on the wall and cobwebs etc but nothing too awful, I would say general wear and tear. The staff were very helpful on arrival. Being so close to the station meant there were lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and it was about a 30 minute walk to the centre of town. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Lift wasn't working on check in. I asked if there were any rooms on first floor (1 small flight of stairs). Was told room numbers started in their 300s. I was allocated a 4th floor room (6/7 flights of stairs). I asked for some help with my large suitcase - I am an engineer were so carry tools with me - I was told noone could help. I struggled but managed to get my cases upstairs. During this time the same member of staff pushes past me on the stairs. When I pointed out rooms started in their 100s, she laughed and said I couldn't have one and that I need to stop blocking the stairs. When I spoke in the morning to another staff member they did apologise, and there were staff members around to help. Thankfully the lift was fixed.

we were well welcome but while leaving i had food on me which i requested for my food to be microwave but the receptionist(Around 12:00pm) was not helpful say it is part of health and safety ,what if i have a baby with me that need to eat.But we were well welcome ,it was a good experience staying at ibis

Super nice staff, room was very good for the price, the bar and outside serving was also nice.
