Was a bit worried upon reading the previous reviews, didnt need to be.
Its a basic hotel, but its clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. The water in the shower was hot within ten seconds.
Location is also fantastic 2 mins walk either way to the beach or a bustling street of restaurants and shops
Recommend and would stay again for sure.

Nothing like advertised

This hotel is NOT what is advertised. We were given a dirty, mouldy, hot room in the basement. The room had dried yellow/brown drip stains on multiple walls. The management was not receptive to finding a solution and refused to offer a refund, even though there was no other rooms available. It was so disgusting that we decided to leave and go back home instead.

The Ambassador is a typical seaside Victorian conversion which hasn't been updated since, I'm guessing, the 70's. The staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms are Victorian sitting rooms that have had showers and bathrooms added. In my case the toilet was so squished between the bathtub and wall that it was difficult to use. I got upgraded to a "sea view" which was a bigger room, so that was nice. You get fresh linens but that's it. Good distance to the Brighton Pier and good enough to lay your head. A solid two star hotel.

I booked a room for my daughter and her friend to stay over the weekend. The Hotel said they misplaced her key and couldnt clean her room. She had to stay in a dirty room with dirty sheets full pubic hair and a filthy shower. When I called to complain the reception 'Mike' his name was extremely rude and didnt understand what the meaning of customer service. It might be cleaner to sleep on a beach or under a bridge than stay in this hotel.

Absolutely disgusting. Filthy. I wish I could attach pictures. You are also greeting with a room on the bottom floor with bunk beds where apparently all the people who work there are crammed into.
DO NOT STAY HERE.
