Just an 8-minute walk to Bournemouth’s seafront and surf reef, The Ravensbourne Hotel features free WiFi and a pleasant garden with seating area. The town center can be reached in 10 minutes by bus. Each room at The Ravensbourne offers a flat-screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Use of ironing facilities, a microwave, and laundry facilities are available on request. For breakfast there are several cafés and restaurants within a 10-minute walk.

Just fabulous!!

I cannot recommend this guest house enough. Where do I begin!! The room we stayed in was huge with a gorgeous bay window on the ground floor. There was a sofa, chair, TV, wardrobe, king size bed and chest of drawers, plenty of space to stay for 2 weeks let alone just a night or two.
The bathroom is a little dated, but has had upgrades to it such as a light up colour changing mirror and I just loved the little touches like method hand soap which made it feel a bit luxury.
My husband and I slept like a log! The mattress was divine, a pillow topped king bed and the pillows were not lumpy and bumpy but instead perfectly plump.
Breakfast is continental with loads of choice of tea and coffee, cereal, cheese, toast and fruit.
I would 100% stay here again without a shadow of a doubt. It was one of the best stays I have had.

not bad, but the beware of shared bathrooms.

this is not a bad place to stay, it's just one I'd be unlikely to choose on my own. The location worked for us (we have our own vehicle) and Carl seems like a nice enough and helpful enough guy. The room was reasonably comfortable. What would put me off for this in a future booking is the shared bathroom situation. Awkward to be in the shower in the morning and have someone turning the light off (switch is outside the door) and knocking.

Very friendly and welcoming

Very warm welcome clean and tidy room, close to town centre.
Good little hotel in all.
Little problem on arrival but it was immediately sorted out and an apology was given and accepted.
Next time we’re in the town we will book again.
Friendly host lovely garden too

A perfect stay . Highly recommended

We stayed here for two nights over this weekend .
I can honestly say I cannot fault anything .
The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and had spare bedding. There was plenty of wardrobe space and chests of drawers. There were three radiators and also an electric fire so it was as warm as toast. The room had a Lg modern Tv with free view ( + sleep timer) also a hair dryer.
Everything was spotlessly clean.
The bathroom had a powerful hot shower and bath, soft close toilet and heated led bathroom mirror.
There is a great choice for breakfast ie toast,cereal ( including gluten free) ,yogurt,and cheeses .You could eat as much as you liked.
I would also like to mention Rowen our host who was so helpful and polite . Nothing was too much trouble and he made you feel so welcome . Thank you.
There is parking available out the front with a selection of spaces . These are first come first served.
The location is very good and would make a great base to explore the area whilst away.
We will certainly stay here again when we come to visit our son who is at Uni .
Thank you again for an excellent stay.

Not my cup of tea

only stayed a night, as was passing through, but wouldn t stay again, needs serious updating or at least my room did. furniture was a throw back to the 1950s , and as the room was next to hallway and at foot of stairs and at front of building near front door. could hear every little noise in and outside of property. location is in a backstreet with limited parking. the price was good but when you see what the chain hotels offer if you book ahead,for the same price you realise your`ve been a bit short changed
