Awful

We booked to stay one night. It was a family room . Toilet didn't flush. No curtain at window. Hole in ceiling. Sockets hanging out the wall. Grout in shower black. Think we were the only ones there...we didn't stay and luckily managed to book another hotel late at night. Would not recommend this hotel at all. Should be removed from all booking sites. Hotel phone number isn't even valid!

AVOID

Rooms were dirty and unhygienic the shower had mould in and we found bed bugs and pube hair in the beds, the mattress was dirty and it smelt like something or someone had died my room door wasn’t at all stable when closed so someone could easily get in without a key if they wanted too, slept fully clothed because I didn’t trust it and I don’t think anyone else should!

Do not even contemplate staying here

Honestly do not stay here, I am happy to stay anywhere as long as there is a clean bed… but there wasn’t even that here. Took a while to find anyone to check in with, the place is dark, dirty and smells. The guy who checked us in smelt of alcohol.
When arriving in the room, the wallpaper was hanging off the walls and marked, the carpets were dirty and sticky and then we noticed the bathroom… there was pee all over the seat and in the toilet, the shower had dirt in the bottom of it and on top of that, there was faeces on the floor… human faeces. Then to completely add insult to injury, blood in the bed… I have never checked out of a hotel on arrival day. I will take noise in the nights, no curtains etc. but the lack of cleanliness was appalling.
I thought we could hack it but no, not a chance at all. Spend a bit more money and go elsewhere.

SCABIES AT THIS HOTEL

Absolutely stinking place, avoid at all cost!! Bed werent clean and the whole family has caught scabies after staying here! We should of walked out the moment we checked in, rooms are dirty, there's a horrible smell all over the hotel, the so called 'breakfast' was disgusting! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Don’t recommend

Our stay at the Highbury property was disappointing. The house had a strong, unpleasant smell, and it was clear that extensive water damage had been poorly concealed with paint. Basic essentials were missing on arrival—there were no toilet rolls, and one toilet contained dried waste and an unclean brush.When we raised our concerns, the response was dismissive and implied dishonesty on our part, which we found upsetting.
More concerning was an electrical fault caused by a faulty air extractor, which produced smoke and required the fire brigade to attend. Despite the seriousness of the situation, there was no follow-up or courtesy message from the host.
Overall, we felt unsupported and let down. We would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made to cleanliness, safety, and communication.
